Loved The Seawall Apartments. Stayed in The Loft and it was a spacious, quiet and beautifully appointed apartment. Lacked for nothing and the quality of the fittings was excellent. Would want to stay no where else in Glenelg.

I booked an apartment and was upgraded to the beach house with an amazing deck, ocean views, spa bath and BBQ. We only stayed one night but could have stayed forever! Felt like home, well appointed, super clean, spa bath with ocean viewsand comfy loungeroom! I can't wait to go back!!!!!

We have stayed at The Seawall Apartments in Glenelg in approximately 15-20 times in the past 2 and a half years. We will not stay anywhere else when visiting Adelaide.

The location is perfect, the apartments are spacious and immaculate with qulaity fittings and the service is Excellent.

We first stayed at Seawall in February 2009 when our son was just 4 days old and the staff bent over backwards to accomodate our new little family. I can not recommend it more highly to anyone wanting a wonderful place to stay whether travelling for business or pleasure, alone or with your family. Our last visit was only 2 weeks ago and we will definately be back again at least once before the year is out.

The beach and Esplanade are on your doorstep and it less than a 5 minute walk to Jetty Road. It is close to the airport and DFO which is great for us and not far away from the city either.

The maratime feel adds to the charm and our Master 2 and a half loves to see the "big shark" and run straight down to the beach after being greeted by the wonderful staff. Off Street parking is also available at no extra charge which makes a nice change compared to the big hotel chains.

Make Seawall Aparments Glenelg your #1 choice when visiting Adelaide. We will be back again soon.

Room Tip: Seafront rooms are fabulous in the warmer months, where as Courtyard rooms offer more shelter from t...

We stayed in 1 Olive Ct while competing in the Australian Masters Games. We thought we would be staying in a self contained apartment. The apartment has one bathroom, one toilet in the bathroom, no dishwasher. no washing machine. no storage containers for leftovers, & no microwave containers for cooking. The only frypan is very small & only suitable for cooking an egg. Everything sticks to it. On arrival the kitchen floor had some sort of sticky juice on it & the refridgerator leaked so badly we had to have a towel on the floor. The refrigerator was replaced after 3 days. The shower head sprayed water onto the only toilet. These things were recified but for the price we paid it should not have happened.
The apartment was not serviced for the 10 days we were there & we only got clean towels because we asked for them.
Also the apartments are not soundproofed. We don't know if it was just our bad luck to have two days of loud music & running up & down stairs, then others having a conversation at 4am with children running & screaming at 6.30am the same morning, then the last guests were the best. They came home at 2.30am with screaming then the spa started up. Sounded like a train going through our apartment. Our 3 yr old was woken up on each of these occasions.

Thank you for your review Del C. I am sorry we didn't meet with your expectations. We really did try our best to rectify all of your issues on a daily basis as they were brought to our attention.
We believe that our kitchens are very well equipped with a full sized refrigerator, oven, gas cook top, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, glassware etc.. We don't provide plastic ware for hygiene reasons but would have been happy to provide some for you if we were aware of your requirement. We are now installing dishwashers as part of our ongoing renovations.
With reference to the single bathroom; we have 7 quite different 3 bedroom apartments, 5 of which have 2 bathrooms.
I do hope that you will give us another opportunity to impress you - perhaps the newly refurbished Boat House would have been a better fit for your family; It has a dishwasher, 2 bathrooms and is on the ground floor - ideal for a family with young children.
Kind Regards,
Rachael

I stay at the Seawall Apartments in August 2010 for 5 nights. I absolutely loved it. Please don't be put off by the strange exterior. It does look a bit like a aquatic version of "Steptoe & Son". The proof of the pudding is in the rooms. I stayed in the Fishermans cabin (I think that was its name, it is in the same courtyard as "The Chapel" & The Stables"). It was excellent. It had a fully exquipped kitchen, bathroom with spa bath, large lounge area, huge main bedroom and a second room which had another 3 beds (1 single bed and one bunk bed). The furnishings were are very good with comfortable bed and lounge. The unit was very clean although there was a bit of a strange smell, mostly noticable when you first entered the unit. I think it might of actually been freshly painted, hence the smell. After a minute or so you didn't notice it. Also included in the cost was free high speed WiFi which I found very useful. The location is superb, the beach is just out the front and around a 5 minute leasurely walk up the esplanade to Jetty Road and the central area of Glenelg.

Staff were excellent and very friendly and ready to help out where the could. The Maratime feel is part of the charm I think and it was quite interesting just looking around and see what was there. I travelled alone this time but I hope to come back with my family as I think they would also love the place.

High recommended!!!

My husband & I (and 2 kids aged 5 & 3) stayed in an Olive Crt 2br apmt when we came to Adelaide for The Wiggles concert.
Positives: Excellent service from staff, spacious character filled apartment, free parking at rear with access from back door, comfy high beds with nice linen, a lovely quiet location (couldn't get much closer to the beach), separate kitchen, enclosed room to put prams etc
Negatives: The bathrooms. It was advertised as a 2 bathroom apartment which could be misleading for some people. This had 2 bathrooms but only 1 toilet. The ensuite contained a shower over a small spa (with no toilet or handbasin). The second bathroom was a long walk down the corridor and this contained a shower and the only toilet. The reason we wanted the 2nd toilet was because of convenience with nighttime toilet training for our 3yr old. I think more people would care for a 2nd toilet rather than the little spa. I have a bath every night with the kids at home but wouldn't use that bath. Anyhow, I must point out that there are lots of different room types at Seawall and maybe there are 2 toilets in others.
The second problem with the ensuite bathroom is that there was no curtain on the bathroom window and no door to close it off. Street lighting shone right into the bedroom and we were awake at 3am thinking the sun was up. Maybe a curtain could be put up.
Overall, we would stay there again if the curtain problem was fixed. We also stayed at Glenelg Beachside apartments and preferred Seawall as it was more spacious & had more character.

Room Tip: Just check if there is an ensuite toilet if it is an issue for you.

Dear linda b, Thank you for your review of our Olive Court 3 bedroom apartment. I am glad you
enjoyed our unique character and sensational location.
You are absolutely right, we do have many different kinds of apartments, several with 2 bathrooms. As your booking came to us through a third party booking site I am afraid that we were unaware that you required 2 bathrooms. May I suggest you contact us directly next time and we can ensure you get exactly what you need!
I am sorry the light from the spa room kept you awake - we will install a blind to block out the street lighting. Thank you for letting us know!
We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to Seawall Apartments soon,
Kind regards,
Rachael

We stayed in the Seawall apartments for my Mum's 70th birthday. We stayed in the boathouse for two nights. The apartment was spotless and the view from the main bedroom was breathtaking. The apartment was close to shopping and restaurants. The people at reception were very helpful and friendly. I can highly recommend this apartment for a perfect getaway.
