“Needs some TLC”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

We have frequented the sinkhole whenever visiting Mount Gambier and always enjoyed this unusual attraction in the middle of town. This last visit was less impressive with the gardens needing a bit more attention and unfortunately also a lot of litter, something not so common in South Australia.

“Beautiful area”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

This was a beautiful sinkhole with lovely gardens & all free! It would be nice to go back & visit in summer/spring & see the flowers. We also saw some possums as we were there a bit later in the day.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

Worth seeing amazing limestone sinkhole formation travel in winter but still very green although flowers are gone. It was very close to city just three km away. Plenty of parking spaces. Easy walk down the stairs which might be a problem for older people with bad knees

“An interesting visit”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

I'd thoroughly recommend visiting the sink hole. Established more tan a 100 years ago before being revitalised in the last 30 years the Umpherston sinkhole is well worth a visit and thoroughly recommended.

There are stairs so not wheelchair accessible.
