Person in room next to us decided to have a shower at 23:20 which woke us up and went on for 20 minutes. He then smoked in the courtyard and was talking to someone at the same time then went on to having a coughing fit in his room. The walls were so thin, it sounded like he was next to my pillow. The reception area has expensive antiques signs telling you 'not to touch! Why have them on display? Seems to be frequented by Tradies judging by the amount of yewts in the car park. Good point is that it's near to the Gorge.

Extremely quiet, very beautiful room and amazing value for money. We would expect to pay $200+ for this room, four poster bed, huge flat screen TV, all th edetails that you expect in a high end B&B. We wish we could have stayed longer, certainly highly recommended. We will be back as the location is walking distance to everything and the service was top notch.

Well located at the corner of York and Margaret Streets ( Google Earth - 41°26'30.68"S, 147° 8'0.17"E). We stayed in one of the queen bed rooms, in the converted terrace house. The room was charming, clean with relatively modern bathroom. The room was on the ground floor and fronted York Street. Even though York Street is a fairly busy road, the room was quiet enough as there was a glass wall installed on the wall to the road frontage (the wall closed off the front patio).

The hosts were friendly. The accommodation also a easy 5-10 minute walk from the centre of Launceston, as well as from Coles supermarket.

There is off street parking (not secure) from Margaret Street and Babington Street.

Room Tip: We didn't book and there were rooms on standby. It is possible to look at a room before making t...

We had a lovely room is this beautiful old building. It is basically just an ensuited room, but it is clean and decorated to suite the period it was built. We loved looking through the corridors and reception area at all the collectables & antiques carefully placed to enhance the old world charm of this beautiful building. It was very quiet and we did not hear any outside noise dispite the Inn being on a busy road.If you are looking for a room with all the bells and whistles, this place is not for you, but if you would like to submerge yourself in a bit of Launie history and relax I definately would recommend the Old Bakery Inn.

Room was everything we needed and very clean. Breakfast in the brekkie room was lovely and again just what we needed (not over the top). The staff we encountered were lovely and very helpful. Would definitely give the thumbs up :).
Our room was on the street but had double glazed windows so we were oblivious to the noise. $100 for a lovely overnight stay was an absolute surprise with breakfast included. Two very happy tired travellers were very well rested after our night here.
