My Husband and I booked in for 2 Night 8-9 Feb.We only stayed one night, first night we were charged $290.00, second night $148.00.totally ripped of. It had not been updated since it was built possibly the late 50s early 60s. the carpet was extremely stained, there was no air conditioning and it was overall dirty. we were meant to get free car parking and we did not, we had to park way up the hill well away from our room. daily paper was not supplied as stated in the booking. They had attempted to fragrance the rooms to cover up bad smell. We then moved onto a 5 star Hotel only 5 minutes away and we could not fault it an any way for only approx $25.00 more.

Room Tip: Location was good but there are many hotels in same location that are a lot better.

This accommodation has a lovely view over the road to the park, but there isn't much else to commend it. The car parking is up a very steep driveway and spaces are narrow and surrounded by concrete barriers. Not for the feint hearted. The access to the rooms is via dingy concrete walkways that are reminiscent of low socio-economic housing estates. Other visitors emerged from their rooms to stare at us taking our bags inside, and we suspected that the apartments might be used as spill-over accommodation for department of housing tenants, or those in need of crisis accommodation. Once inside the apartment, we were reasonably satisfied: the bedrooms and beds were generous. The kitchenette was functional. The bathroom looked alright at a glance, but up close it was starting to get rundown in the shower/tiles.
We went out for dinner to cheer ourselves up and discovered on our return that the sofa bed was falling to bits and had a mattress so thin that my daughter was more comfortable putting the cushions on the floor. Then we discovered there was no linen for my daughter's bed, even though we'd booked for five people. In the morning when I took the keys back and complained to the manager, she offered to give me a packet of biscuits! I politely declined. She said the hotel was due for an upgrade of furniture including the sofa beds.

We have booked a 2 br apartment for 1 nt at 175 AUD, our flight arrived Launceston by 8 pm. We checked in just to grab the key then going out for dinner without seeing the room then getting back in by 10p.m.
The room was horrible, not very clean, the couch was dirty and broken and the worst of all there were no mats on our 2 big beds, the other two small bed were ok. It was late so we could do nothing. I complained to the reception the next morning and she apologized and gave us back $50.
This was the worst place we have stayed in Australia.

I found our spa apartment to be drab and at $155.00 per night, overpriced. It boasted a nice shade of brown with ripped arms on the couch. A notice in the kitchen threatened to charge us $ 20.00 if we failed to wash, dry and put away the dishes - nice!
The receptionist who had only been there a week failed to give us our wi fi password code and when I looked for the phone to dial "9" for reception, we couldn't find it. A trip back down the steep hill to reception produced the code but the girl didn't know where the phone was either as she was new.
It was not a place I wanted to go back to at the end of the day so we managed to stay out as much as possible.

i stayed there 22/8/ 13 and had enjoyable stay . the 2 room appartment was clean and the bed very comfortable . it was home away from home with the kitchen /lounge / and nice hot shower . overall one of the better places ive stayed . i do believe all the apartments are in the process of renovation or have been . i could not fault this place from the time of check in with the lovely office lady to time of checkout . would definately recommend and stay there again as good value for money
