Thank you James for making us so welcome on our first visit to Launceston in 20 years. We found the Audlington by chance but were very happy that we did - caring staff, great location, stunning views, big room in an historic building. Happy to highly recommend to friends.

Having stayed here once before, it was only that I had heard that ownership had changed that tempted us back. What a difference!
The new owner James, heads keen and caring staff happy to go the extra distance. The attention to detail and genuine assistance to the guests makes me proud to be a Tasmanian!

Looks are deceiving when you drive up the secret driveway to the Auldington ... Sure it looks like a stately stunning well kept heritage home but inside it's so much more .... Your first glimpse of the splendor you are about to step into is the sliding glass door at reception but wait it gets better :) we were met at reception by a lovely young man who had been busy reconfiguring our room (we booked only minutes before arriving and it was quite a late hour ) who then helped us with our bags up to our rooms - the hallways full of beautiful old features modernised with stunning vibrant artworks . Our room was lovely, well appointed with everything you possibly would need - robes I phone5 docks big TVs, makeup wipes very well thought out
menus and room guides and the view from our private balcony is simply stunning !! I am writing this review on my beautiful private balcony eating the most amazing breakfast you can imagine !! The bathrooms are beautiful with a bath deep enough that it feels like you're getting into a pool and wide/ long enough for two ppl to share .. We had two interconnecting rooms with our own little hallway (enough room that it felt like my hubby and I had the place to ourselves for a romantic getaway !! ) the church bells outside chime very softly and it all adds to the feel of Beaty and serenity in the hotel - also a side point for other hotels to take note of - we happily ate and drank plenty of the mini bars quality wares because they were reasonably priced !! With little things like spa packages and chocolate lovers packages it just made our stay all the more amazing xxx thank you

We chose this hotel based on its lovely heritage exterior and convenient location but discovered there was so much more to recommend it. The interior has good original artwork throughout, the spacious rooms sparkle in their cleanliness, staff put themselves out to personalise your stay, the garden is lovely and offers a fine view across the city.

Room Tip: There are rooms on three levels overlooking the city but obviously the top level commands the best v...

This was a fantastic, tranquil refurbished hotel minutes from the city centre. The former convent is spacious, spotless and well furnished with a comfortable bed. Wifi and parking are included in the very reasonable rates. James the owner/manager is very personable and went above and beyond to ensure that our every need was fulfilled. The continental breakfast was exceptional value. This is definitely worth a return visit.

Room Tip: The front rooms have fantastic views and in warmer weather a balcony to sit on.

I travel for work and having tried a lot of accommodation around Launceston, I'm thrilled to say that Auldington Hotel is most definitely my favourite! The rooms are always spotlessly clean, all the facilities you need and only a short stroll to cafes, restaurants and the city. My favourite aspect of Auldington Hotel are relaxing outside on the lovely verandas overlooking the city, that and the lovely peaceful ambiance, oh, and the bed and plush pillows. I'll be back for sure!

This was such a great find for us. Thank you Tripadvisor. We stayed in a most a very comfortable large room with all modcons. The bed was fabulously comfortable. A short walk to a great cafe down the road and we were given options for dining. It is tucked away near the Cataract Gorge and has been beautifully refurbished. Great service and attention to detail was proven when I had unfortunately left my IPad charger in the room. Sam emailed me and let me know and as we had left Launceston sent it by parcel post to my home. I was rapt!

Room Tip: Up stairs with balcony offered a great view of Launceston.
