We were very surprised when we arrived as the motel was very well priced and we weren't expecting too much. The owner was very welcoming and informative and the room was very clean and had all of the ammenities that we required. We had the family room and both of the rooms in it had tv's and dvd's which kept the kids amused in between our activites. I would highly recommend the Peppinella Motel for both couples and families.More
Old on the outside but impressive inside. Quiet location, exceptionally clean, excellent value and very pleasant hosts. Beautiful new crisp linen, great pillows and comfortable beds. Nice variety of good brand tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits and 'hot chocolate'. All the little extras were provided. Microwave and full size fridge... It's now my place to stay when visiting Ballarat.
We were greeted with a box of chocolates and a Merry Christmas message...you don't get that everywhere.... Thank you for making our stay an enjoyable one..
thank you for your feedback, we do try and treat our customers to a little something extra on their stays with us at Christmas and Easter, our largest family room does have a great size fridge in it which caters to the needs of the larger family, with plenty of fridge and freezer space, and the hot chocolate satchets are a much loved favorite of our motel. Stayed for 1 night for an early job interview the next day. The rooms are comfortable and carefully designed with everything you need. Very clean, friendly staff, good value, would stay there again if I needed to stay in Ballarat again.

Rang this motel to book a room on our travels and was advised if I didn't have a credit card I couldn't book a room or I could pay with cash as long as I left a $250 deposit. I have never heard anything so stupid. We have been travelling 2 weeks from Qld all around Vic and Sa and have not had any motel who didn't gladly take our booking. Thankfully due to such bad service we picked another motel and were more than happy with their service.
thank you for your feedback, however as most people are aware taking a credit card or bond is very common these days, unfortunately not everyone does the right thing these days and after we have been court out once to many times we have now inforced this practice. It is very hard on a small business when people damage rooms, run off without paying etc, so I am sorry if this upset you but unfortunately we live in a society were not everyone is honest. We did not set out to make you unhappy however we also need to protect our business as well. thanks Tracey
This is not a new and dazzling motel – a bit dated, but well kept, clean, and very well run. When I say 'well run' I mean that just walking around the room, it's clear that a lot of thought has been given to guests' needs. There's a microwave oven; cutlery; crockery (important if you're ordering food to be delivered); comfortable beds and comfortable seating; racks for baggage; a big TV; new and effective aircon/heating.
There's a good wardrobe with plenty of hangers, and a well-lit table with plenty of space to use two computers at once (Wifi worked well for us), or comfortably eat two meals together. A queen-size inner-sprung comfortable bed. Unusually, there are good individual lights for each person to read by. The people are friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with our choice, on a country trip where we'd stayed at a number of motels.
It has to be said that there is no restaurant, nor any in the near vicinity. We ordered home delivered food.
Thank you for your review, we do try to cater to what our guests have asked for, somethings are an easy fix and others not so easy. Having access to a microwave and crockery and cutlery is one of those things, it makes it easy for everyone. While we do not have a restaurant on site we do have the Flying Horse Bistro a 3 minute drive away, and also the globe Hotel in close proximity. A great motel, very nice receptionist, room had just been revamped and in general, a lovely stay.Easy to find, very clean and comfortable bed. Highly recommended for single or family.Will visit again. Not far from Ballarat. A quaint place to stay.
