My husband & step-son stayed here for one night in January 2014 and had a lovely time. They described the staff as extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and my husband, whom has back trouble, stated that he even awoke feeling very refreshed and pain free! The bathroom actually included a spa bath / bath combination with an overhead shower rose. Free small toiletries were included. A breakfast pack was available from reception for an additional cost of $10.00 per pack. Each pack contained cereal, milk, juice, a fruit cup and a muesli bar bite which was more than enough to satisfy a hungry eight [8] year old! [ and his 6ft 2in father ].
The only issue was a lack of cereal bowls in the room itself. But that was not serious.
Adding to the value and entertainment factor is that they offer FREE in house movies. These run on two [2] channels and whilst you can't pick what is actually shown there was three [3] - four [4] different movies that ran per day at designated session times. Every day they would show something different. The free movies are in addition to the freeview digital channels you can access in the region.
This facility also has a swimming pool which my husband and step-son thoroughly enjoyed. The water was of a fantastic temperature and a welcome relief after a hot day of travel. They had no troubles in regards the cleanliness of the pool area at all. There are pool noodles, kick boards and rubber balls as well for the kids [and adults] - to play with.
Air conditioning was also available in the room.
Location: Whilst this is next to the busy freeway no detrimental impact was experienced by this at the time of their stay.
Summary: Overall this is one place that we are more than happy to recommend. For just $109.00 the night they had access to a pool, free movies, a comfortable and clean room and were looked after by friendly and helpful staff. A great place for a family at a very reasonable price. Enjoy!

Room dated but seemed clean. Kids & I swam in the pool, tiles are chipped off in sections but it was warm & seemed to be maintained. Convenient location for us as it was easy to find after a long drive & right next door to the mini golf. The place was near empty so we didn't have neighbor guest issues.

We had booked our accommodation on WOTIF just for the one night I then rang and booked a second night which was fine the person who answered the phone was very helpful we were even able to check in early. The first night of your stay was fine the kids enjoyed the heated pool but the second night was a disaster my husband and kids went to bed early as we had a 10 hour drive ahead us the next day only to have people banging on the doors and yelling around the rooms. The rooms on wither side came out to have a look but soon went in as there 3-4 young blokes causing the noise. I finished work @ 10.00pm and I was back to the hotel by 10.15pm we ended up leaving that night because they woke up my kids and husband. The hotel isn't close to anything but the freeway which was handy for us.

The rooms were dirty, as in filthy. We complained and the owner said she would fix the problem but she lied. All the dried food and hair and dirt remained. When I showed her again the putrid state of the room, after initially bald faced lying to me about who had caused the filth, she shrugged and said that you can't expect much from budget accommodation. This is not budget accommodation, there are many cheaper (and cleaner) places to stay in and around Ballarat. They also self rate themselves as a four star property. More lies. I have complained to the Department of Health. They also failed to service the room twice in our six day stay. There are no cleaning products available for if you need to clean after the cleaners have 'cleaned' either. The kitchen contained the only bin and it had no lid. So enjoy the thought of putting your child's dirty nappies or your feminine hygiene products in an open bin in the kitchen, and the thought of the germs that are spreading throughout your cooking and cleaning area. I have stayed in tent accommodations that were cheaper, cleaner and far more pleasant. If you have to stay in this place because its the only place available, just stay home. You'll be sorry if you stay with this woman.

Room Tip: Find somewhere else. There are other, cheaper places to stay in and around Ballarat.

Great for kids as the indoor pool is heated. These spacious rooms are good value as you also have washing machine dryer and tv in each room. Fully self contained These units are very good value to stop recoup wash clothes cook a good meal have a swim and move on. If you want up market look else where but here is good value. Being on the highway the noise fluctuates .

Room Tip: Back of the highway is better for noise

Budget priced hospitable family accommodation. Recently sold after falling into receivership the apartments are dated, however they are very clean, comfortable and in clean and working order. On the highway into ballarat from melbourne they are only 5-10mins from the cbd. They are conveniently placed and are in a quiet location we were in a family unit and did not hear any highway noise. Close to service stations, mini golf and Kryal castlt the staff were extremely helpful in advising family friendly places to eat. I regret we weren't planning to stay in ballarat longer. Kids loved the heated indoor pool.

Stayed for one night, very much dated but other than that and the cheap price does the job. Had wedding group in very noisy poor management should have addressed the problem, I just picked a bad night to stay.
