Stayed here last Tuesday night and booked on line through a third party. We normally stay at the quest apartments but for one night did not need an apartment.
Check in was quick and very pleasant. Room was comfortable with everything you need for a quick overnight stay. Bed comfortable with flat screen tv and good heating which is important as the night was freezing.

Shower pressure good and bathroom had everything you need. We left early as we had an early morning function to attend.
Ate dinner at house of kong which was only a few minutes walk. Had breakfast at Twenty which was nice, great coffee and muesli though waitress was not over friendly and helpful. Have eaten there before and always good.
Overall great value and highly recommend if just looking for a quick stopover.

Room Tip: In winter put your heater on as soon as you arrive especially if going out for dinner. Bendigo can...

Good value room, enough space for a couple of nights, clean.Onsite parking, a block and a bit walk from Bendigo main street. Friendly checkin, will be back. Microwave in the room and all normal amenities, including in room stocked barfridge.

Room Tip: Next to a pub with a band so take earplugs just in case.

We had lots of delays travelling from Melbourne the owner rang us to check how we were going. He then directed us there and waited outside to direct our second work vehicle. Our rooms were clean and basic with no issues of hard beds as mentioned in previous comments. A short walk to town and fuss free friendly service

Welcoming and obliging owners. The accommodation was well priced / value for money. Peaceful. The room and bathroom were well appointed spacious clean. Very convenient for accessing the town. We arrived late afternoon and were just looking for an overnight stop to explore Bendigo. We did not use the pool which was small and near the road but would have been ok for a cooling dunk! A thoroughly agreeable experience. RM

Room Tip: Small motel don't think room position would be significant

Best sleep I have had for a long time. Rooms are large, comfortable and clean. The bathroom has a lovely long bench for all your stuff and the towels are good. We stayed for four days and the town centre was only a 15 minute walk so it is reasonably central.

There are two dedicated movie channels with latest DVD releases. Unusually, a toaster is provided which is a great improvement on other hotels we have stayed in within Australia.

The Brian Boru pub is next door and meals can be ordered to your room. Also in the room are a comfortable couch and a table and two chairs. Wi fi was also good and the manager was extremely helpful with directions and attractions of the area.

Highly recommended, will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed twice at the Haymarket Motor Inn and found the Owners went out of their way to help us. Unlike the previous Hotel who debited our credit card without our authority to do so, the Haymarket Inn didn't ask for our details until we arrived. We had special needs due to travelling with Mum who is elderly and infirm. When making the booking last year, I was worried that we couldn't fit a shower chair from home in the car. Sunita and Prakish orgainised it for us, they made Mum's room very comfortable and cosy. They gave us the room number in advance an where it was positioned incase we wanted to be further away from the main road. For what we paid, the room was worth the fee. I requested that the heater be put on 1 hr before we arrive so it was warm for Mum, plus, being a country tv, the station program may have been different so I asked if channel 9 could be on before we arrived so we could settle Mum while we where unpacking the car.
All was done as asked. No complaints.
They suggested which room to book that was away from the main road, while we where out, I left a note for the staff requesting extra towels as we had a spa room, Mum needed extra pillows, we forgot to pack the sandewich maker and that was organised, my husband spilt coffee on his suit trousers and I was able to use their laundry and pop the key under the door once I was done. They gave us the short cut instructions to where we needed to go, maps, we honestly felt like we knew them well. Nothing we asked for was too much. It is because of their care and concern for Mum and for my husband and I that we would go back to Bendigo.
They may be strict with noise levels and non-smoking requests but with Mum going to bed early, it was great not having roudy neighbours and great having a room which smelt fresh and clean instead of stale smoke.
They came highly recommended to us and we highly recommend them to you. As Peter O wrote, it is clean, friendly and affordable and we would not stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: The Owners where very helpful in suggesting rooms that fit our requests. They choose a room in the m...

I just wanted a basic place to sleep one night so I stayed here. Nothing special about the room - just your average motel room. One bedside light was broken (frayed cord) and another downlight in the room needed a new bulb. However, I had nothing else to complain about, and the owner was very nice. Having a continental breakfast delivered to my room the night before was good value for the price ($109 if I recall correctly). Overall, very satisfied with my stay here.
