“Awesome place!”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

So after getting quite hopelessly lost as tourists around geelong we stumbled on this place and proceeded to have a wonderfully relaxing afternoon.
Of particular mention was the enclosed saltwater pool which was beautiful to have a dip in, the kiosk cafe (awesome staff and great iced coffees), the immaculately clean toilets and change rooms.
Whilst we were there we met a wonderful lady who we chatted to for hours who had taken her grandson to the park. Our son and her grandson played for hours in the shade cloth covered park. Made for a wonderful end to a tiring day on the road :)

“Eastern Beach Geelong”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

A great place for all the family. It was built in the 1930's in Art Deco style and there is a large circular shark proof sea bath for older children and adults with diving boards and other play equipment. There is also a smaller outdoor pool for younger children with safety barricades. There are change rooms and a lovely kiosk for coffee and snacks and a restaurant upstairs. There are plenty of grassed areas for games and picnics and a steep grassed hill that children love sliding down as well as a modern playground with swings, slides etc The large pool has a lovely promenade for walks and of course there are the famous bollards that stretch right along the foreshore of Geelong that depict the history of the city. A great place to swim, walk, picnic, play, etc all for free, except for what you might buy at the kiosk.

“A great place for a picnic or a coffee and cake right on Corio Bay.”
Reviewed 16 April 2014 via mobile

Eastern Beach is a great place for a walk around the timber promenade or a swim in the pool. There's a lovely cafe and restaurant for a drink or a meal right next to the pool. The extensive surroundings have space for picnics or a family game of cricket. There's a children's playground and fabulous painted bollards of famous Geelong identities all along the foreshore.

“For the famil”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

Eastern Beach has an open air enclosed pool and within the pool a racing pool. Also a small pool for the little ones and a playground. There are free bar-b-ques and also a restaurant and cafe so something for all tastes and budgets. A Thomas the Tank Engine style train runs from Eastern Beach pool area along to the carousel on the western end of the beach. The pathways are dotted with bollards which depict Geelong's heritage.

“A beautiful stroll and good coffee”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

It is just lovely walking along eastern beach , particularly on a nice day. The ocean, long pier, plenty of things happening, You Yangs mountains in the distance, enclosed swimming area/toddlers pool , large grassed areas with bbq's, usually plenty of people doing personal training sessions. The Bolards along the way add a bit of interest. If you feeling energetic you can walk/jog up the steps (lots of people do to energise their walk). A number of places to get coffee after your stroll, including the historic Sailor's Rest. .There's a market on once a month as well and often other groups/activities going on. Also if you want there is a carousel and Thomas the Tank engine train ride for kids and helicopter rides for anyone interested. There is also a big ferris wheel there from approx. November to April. You really cant go wrong!
