A great outlook not supported by the food or service. Pity.
Our meals which were slow in arriving came out luke warm, we had the feeling that they had been sitting around for quite some time. The side dish we requested didn't come out at all! We enquired about it, and it came well after we had finished our meal, nothing quite like a bowl (of cold) buttered greens on their own – we left them untouched. They were very apologetic, (but still charged the full price!) Sorry, we won't be back.

My wife and I called in here for a light lunch and have to say we were more than happy with our experience. We opted to share a charcuterie plate and found all the ingredients fresh together with a serving size that was perfect for two people looking for a light meal. We enjoyed this with a glass of NZ Sav Blanc.
We found the service friendly and attentive and the view out over The bay was wonderfully.
I was surprised to see the comments about the wine list as I found it adequate for a small restaurant like this and I thought there was at least a local Sav Blanc as well as the NZ one?
I cannot comment on what a dinner is like but We will absolutely return to find out.
I have read the comments of other contributors who complain bitterly about the meal and service and wonder some times if they don't also have an attitude problem or maybe they just have not travelled enough.

The entrée and main were fantastic! We were then told that the deserts were sold out and were offered a "deconstructed pie" that was simply an insult to serve to paying guests. the meringue was chewy and the raspberries were frozen and slowly turning to puree on my plate. when we complained about the terrible desert the staff became very aggressive towards us stating that they had never had a complaint before. we paid for our meal and finished off our drinks whilst all the staff hovered around us, pushing us to leave. the chef was walking around the restaurant in an offensive tshirt.
the poorly dressed waitress (wearing old clothing 3 sizes too small and very revealing) slammed glasses on tables and stopped her feet whilst walking around us. it was extremely immature. as we were discussing where we should dine in Geelong next and commenting on a bad experience we had at another restaurant the waitress (who said she was the manager) approached my mother and continued to abused her for speaking badly about her staff and restaurant. we explained that we were speaking about Geelong restaurants and the best and worst restaurants in the city, the girl obviously only heard parts of our conversation and became verbally aggressive and very intimidating. she did not apologise for her mistake nor did she apologise for the poor service or terrible meal. a male waiter than approached my friend and continued to scream and swear at her. we left the establishment and contacted the police. I suggest that everyone avoid this brothel, it is very disappointing that a restaurant in such a good location has such terrible staff. I am counting down the days until they close down. this restaurant is an embarrassment for the Geelong restaurant community.

Our best Friday night dinner with friends for a long time! Interesting, varied menu combinations, beautifully cooked and presented!
Wine list small but we all enjoyed our choices.
Staff very relaxed, friendly and helpful. It is great to be able to chat to all the staff, including the chef.
The sweets were to die for, especially the deconstructed banoffee pie!
Lovely setting on the Bay, one of only a few restaurants around Geelong that are really on the water!
We will be back soon!

Thank Kristine B

With the location of this restaurant it really should be the best joint in Geelong. It could be so much more but...

The menu is limited and decidedly odd with the selections on offer. There is virtually no seafood which is odd given the proximity to the bay. The wine list needs to be scrapped and realigned to the australian palate. Having 60% of wine from overseas with such a small selection (8 whites & reds perhaps) is just dumb and indicative of a lack of style and focus here.

Staff are friendly, but sloppily dressed and waiters really should not tell you they cannot stand the sav blnace wine (a single bottle) on the menu. Service is slow and meals have minimal flavour. The chacuterie plate was good in variety but the meats were dried out and chewy.

Very, very disappointing. And, on a Friday night the fact there were only 18 diners strongly suggest the formula does not work for the locals. A decent menu, more sharp and better dressed wait staff would make this a motza.

Try agian.
