We had a warm and friendly welcome from Maureen. The bedrooms and facilites were clean, bright and to a high standard in a lovely house. We were free to come and go at lesiure. It is within easy walking distance to Geelong town centre. The train station is also easily accessible with hourly trains to Melbourne. The Great Ocean road is just a few miles away and not to be missed. It is a great place to use as a base but equally a great place to chill for a while. We were very sad to leave and highly recommend Adara House.

Where do I begin to describe my stay at the wonderful "Ardara House" in Geelong. I had the most lovely welcome from the owner Maureen Sharkey, who made sure that every one of my needs was looked after. Exhausted from a very tiring long flight from the UK, I was shown to my room and the very comfortable huge bed my body had craved for the previous 24 hours. This house is a must for anyone wishing to explore this part of Victoria. 7 minutes from the Railway station, with trains every hour to Melbourne, and a 10 minute walk to the centre of Geelong, or hop on one of the many buses available. The Great Ocean rd is just a few miles away, and is a must for anyone visiting Australia. Ardara House is so well situated and you are free to come and go at your own pace, spend a lazy evening sitting out on the raised deck area, sipping a cold beer whilst looking out towards the scenic Corio Bay. The food and the facilities at Ardara are first class, and nothing is too much trouble for Maureen, indeed it is fair to say, that I was treated like one of the family! I spent a wonderful all too short 3 weeks at Ardara House, and have already made it my goal to return to this lovely house and it's wonderful owner! Well done to Maureen and Ardara House!
