“Can't remember the last time I didn't leave a tip”

Table of 8. Whatever you do don't order the chicken scallopini - barely luke warm, heaps of sloppy sauce, horrid potato side . Worst meal I've had out for years. Highlight was 50c of greens on plate. All other meals just okay. So disappointed.
Even with non satisfactory food I would have left a tip - but that wasn't very good. Had to go the bar for a wine list. Bought the list to the table then had to go back to the bar to order.
Venue wasn't crowded. Local family get together. Wont return any time soon. Wish we'd gone to the local pizza shop - better food, better service and better value.

“Looks like a flash joint from the outside”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

We went to this place to have our upmarket pub meal. The service from the bar staff was excellent. The table waitress was ok.
Three out of the four meals were not right. The "SMOKEY BBQ RIBS" should have read on the menu "HOT AND SPICEY RIBS". Coleslaw was stale to the point is was not fresh and crisp and tasted well yeah.
The Duck was over cooked in a very bitter sauce. The only positive was the Chicken Scaloppini was very nice. The chicken just fell apart in your mouth.
As a whole as we spent over $250 dollars on four main meals and wine. It was very below average compared to the price charged. When we mentioned our disatisfaction we were met with "ok"
Never again

“Delicious”
Reviewed 8 March 2014

another amazing dinner. This is our regular stop over when in Geelong, the food and service is always first class. My usual order is the steak or kangaroo fillet(which taste sensational) however on this occasion I chose the Lordie burger and to wash that down I had a local beer which tasted great. My girlfriend had the lamb cutlets which tasted amazing and very aromatic and was a health portion in size.
Good stuff guys keep up the great work.

“Our last time”
Reviewed 17 February 2014 via mobile

Sadly we won't be coming back. We went there last night and my husband ordered the open souvlaki. The lamb was so bland and dry he only ended up eating the pita bread. No one asked how his meal was when they collected the plates. He made the decision then to not complain, just never return. That is really sad as we have been going to Lord of the Isles for around twenty years for our family birthdays and special occasions. My calamari salad with mango salad was tender and tasty.

“A great place to eat when in Geelong”
Reviewed 28 January 2014 via mobile

Great food and attentive yet discrete service set this pub apart from the rest of the pack. The decor is modern and tasteful, with the only small negative being the advertising screens on the walls flashing ads for their many and various boutique beers on tap. We will happily go back for another meal when next in Geelong.
