We eat out a lot, and don't mind paying for good food.
In this place the entries cost $15 or more ( beside the bread) and the mains $32.5 or more.
When you pay so much you expect something really good.
The staff was nice, the place had good atmosphere and the food was well presented, but don't let look confuse you.
The garlic prawns - $17 - 5 prawns and a bit of rice- not as fresh as you would expect from a place on the beach.
Duck salad- $16 - simple salad with too much balsamic and few pieces of dry duck that don't have any connection to the rest of the salad .

Mains - fish of the day, $34, small and too dry
Pork belly - $34 , to fat and boring
But it was the first time I try pork belly , it came with mashed potato and steams veg which where nice, but not for $34.
Everything was eatable, but if that's what we looked for, we would have gone to KFC.

Just popped in for a light meal and chose the flathead tails. These came with thick batter which was not cooked all the way through and which had hardly any fish inside - yuck. Finished with an affogato coffee also not up to scratch.

We recently had a nice meal at this restaurant, though find it hard to believe that it has been given a "hat" by the Herald Sun. Neither the food or service was exceptional.

Seafood was excellent. Recommend try the just seared tuna entree. Almost raw. Delicious.
Seafood mains did not disappoint. Quality fish. Cooked to perfection to retain full flavour and moistness. Great location overlooking harbour area and generous space between tables. Service was really ordinary. There were two staff on and only a small number of tables. They went missing in action. It just took the edge of what could have been a first class dining experience.

This busy restaurant serves beautifully cooked fish. The staff are friendly and attentive. Our portions were a good size so we could not manage a desert. However we were seated close to the cake cabinet and everything looked delicious.
