First impressions, I agree with some of the other reviewers. For the price-point the tables are too close together, and there are clearly too many covers at once. This also makes the place very noisy and not intimate.
We arrived at 8pm to find 2 or 3 small children running about - not what I expect in a $100 a head restaurant, and although more the fault of the fool in the luminous green jacket and his wife who were letting them run about, the staff shoud have said something. Luckily they departed within 20 minutes.
The first wine we ordered was pretty marmite, and my wife really didnt like it. The staff were find about this and the somelier recommended another wine. The wine we had ordered was $45 (we had not taken the advice of an $80 bottle of wine on the grounds we didnt want to spend that much). I was annoyed when the bill came to find the alternative wine suggested was $80.
When I mentioned this the manageress checked it out and apologised, stating this was an hnest mistake and he had meant to suggest a $65 bottle. They refunded but this was still a $20 more bottle?!
The food was nice, no complaints there. Not cheap, and needs to not pack 'em in so much at this price point (3 starters, 1 main, 1 bottle of wine, over $200 for 2 people.
