Apartments are well situation in a lovely quite position just a short strole to beach, shopping and restaurants.
At first there was some concern with our apartment's position being next to the lift, however in the early hours of the mornings the noise came from the apartment above ours with the slaming of doors, and thumping of ?
The bed/bedding was clean and very comfortable, the shower was small and dated, could be updated to suite bathroom decor. One morning the hotwater ran out after only one shower, this was attended to by the time we returned to our apartment early that afternoon.
Most days my husband had to go cap in hand when we were only provided with towels etc. for one instead of two occupants.
Overall the apartment was clean and comfortable with the reception staff being pleasant and helpful.
I would be happy to return again and would recommend this venue.

Dear jeanette c

Thank you for taking the time to review Quest St Kilda Bayside, and thank you for recommending this property!

I’m sorry you experienced some noise above you in the morning. We do encourage guests to report any loud /annoying noises when they hear them, so that our onsite manager can address the problem and ensure a good night’s sleep for everyone.

I’m also sorry that you had towels only replaced for one person. This is certainly not the norm, and and issue that I’ve taken up with our housekeepers
.
I’m pleased that you enjoyed your stay overall, found our staff helpful and loved our location. We look forward to welcoming you back!

Warm regards

Luisa

This was between flights two days accommodation. The flight plans had gone awray and I needed a place to stay in a hurry. I was flying to Adelaide and re routed through Melbourne twelve hours later than i had booked. The staff could not have been more helpful. The apartment was clean and comfortable after a long flight. They arranged transport for me to the airport at 4am. The location was close to all amenities. I had a studio apartment which served all my needs and was very quiet.

Our family (2A, 2C , 15 and 11) recently stayed at Quest St Kilda Bayside for 3 nights. Location is excellent. Very close to both Fitzroy St and Acland St eateries. Serviced by tram on both these streets as well. The street is very tight and access is gained from the Acland St end of Eildon St. Cars are parked on both sides and there is no loading zone to stop to check in. We stopped illegally in a permit zone about 50m down the steet. Reception was friendly enough and we received a room on the first (ground) floor. Parking is secure ($13 per day), but is tighter than surrounding streets! A list of rules received at reception details the parking, 2 cars per bay. This is not adhered to, so undercover spaces are at a premium, with 1 car parked over 2 spaces. We were forced to park in an open air park up a ramp that was unlit and pitch black at night. On mentioning the parking to reception, we were told thats how it is. Maybe she hasn't read the list of rules?......
The lift from the car park also requires a security swipe.
Decor in the hallways and rooms is very nice and the furniture and carpets were unmarked. Bathroom was big but the shower cubicle tiny. Enough hot water and adequate hot water. Toiletries (2 soap and shampoo and conditioner) were provide on the 1st and 3rd days.
The room was a 2 bedroom studio and was compact, but adequate for our stay. The 2nd bedroom was in an alcove (no doors) off the lounge. We were aware of this in the room description so it wasn't a surprise. Kitchen was well equipped and contained a large fridge, 4 burner electric stove, full size oven and small dishwasher. A washing machine and dryer were in a laundry off the kitchen.
Lounge had a small sofa and 2 armchairs, a flat screen and dvd player.
A small balcony looked over the carpark and other adjacent balconies.
The main bedroom had bedside tables and a robe with a safe, BUT the bed was awful. It was double or queen size, but as soon as one moved off the edge, you rolled into a pit in the middle that was almost impossible to get out of. Suffice to say I slept the remainder of the nights in one of the single beds and shuffled one of the kids off with Mum! I informed reception on check out about the bed ans she said they will investigate.
In summary: Excellent location, great condition, friendly staff but have to make it down 2 points for the atrocious bed and the car parking.

Dear Terry00seven

Thank you for taking the time to write such a comprehensive review of Quest St Kilda Bayside. I’m pleased that you enjoyed our fantastic location and our refurbished apartments.

Unfortunately, the downside to being in such an ideal location is that the Council have imposed parking restrictions all around the area, although we are fortunate to have a 15 minute bay directly outside reception. It’s a shame that this was not available when you were checking in. Usually our guests are able to park safely and close to the property for a short time while they check in. We are fortunate to have plenty of parking available at the property for a small fee. I note that you parked up the ramp at the open air car park - there is also an abundance of parking in our lower car park which is also lit and undercover. We don’t have a standard list of rules from reception that state 2 cars per parking bay, and as such this does concern me. If you could contact me at Quest St Kilda Bayside (03 9593 9500) to let me know what you are referring to, I’d really appreciate it.

Thank you for your feedback, too, about the bed. A good night’s sleep for our guests is of utmost importance. For the comfort of future guests, we have replaced the bed in the apartment you stayed in with a new bed. It is always worthwhile mentioning things that can be improved (such as an uncomfortable mattress) during your stay, because in this case we would have been able to immediately put a new bed in your apartment.

Thank you again for your feedback – we rely on it to constantly improve the property! We hope to be able to welcome you back to Quest St Kilda Bayside next time you’re in Melbourne.

Warm regards

Luisa

My daughters and I were in St Kilda and it got too late to travel home. We just looked for the closest hotel to stay the night. We were very happy with Quest Bayside. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The 2 bedroom suite was clean and comfortable.

Recently spent 2 nights at the refurbished Quest St Kilda Bayside apartments. Our studio apartment was well appointed, very clean & comfortable with well equipped kitchenette. The apartment's small balcony looked across to the beautiful church opposite. The location in St Kilda was perfect, and the staff were very friendly and helpful with information. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Request rooms overlooking church.

Our housekeepers, led by our very dedicated executive housekeeper (Josie), work really hard to ensure that all apartments are spotless before guests arrive. I’m also pleased that you liked the view from your apartment - we’re fortunate to be located in such a fabulous position opposite the old church, down a quiet street, and yet in the heart of St Kilda.

Thank you for recommending our property. We hope to be able to welcome you back again soon.

I travelled as part of a couple and we'd arranged to meet a friend in melbourne. We decided to get an apartment rather than a hotel as our friend was arriving from a long haul flight early in the morning and the flexibility of the apartment was ideal.

Our taxi driver found the place OK and the receptionist was expecting us. She checked us in and was friendly and welcoming. She explained everything we needed to know and directed us to our apartment.

The apartment had two bedrooms, a kitchen/lounge/diner area and a bathroom. The kitchen was equipped with basic utensils. There was a cooker and fridge, a washer/drier and a dishwasher. Everything worked OK. there was a TV and for a modest fee, there was internet access too.

We visited in winter and found the rooms chilly however there was a heating system which worked fine.

The location was very good. Close enough to the bars and restaurants on Acland and Fitzroy to not need a taxi, but far enough away to not be disturbed. The tram stop on Fitzroy was a five minute walk and just around the corner was St Kilda beach and pier.

All in all, a pleasant experience made even better by the helpful staff.

Watch out for the washer drier. Ventilation isn't great and the room can suffer from condensation.
