“Fresh and healthy neighborhood fare in a beautiful setting.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 January 2012

We dined at Wabi Sabi last week and had a wonderful meal. In the land of fish and chips, it was a welcome break to have some freshly prepared sashimi and salads. I would highly recommend anything on the specials menu. (we had a tuna sashimi salad as well as kingfish carpaccio). The only drawback of Wabi Sabi is that you can't order a la carte sushi. There are some sushi items on the menu, but it is not a traditional Japanese restaurant in that sense. We sat inside but the garden is beautiful and has a faux koi pond where they project movies. Very cool! Overall, it's a hidden gem and away from all the bustle.

“Loved it, loved It loved it!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 December 2010

Why has it taken me three years of living in St Kilda to find this place and release what fantastic Japanese food it serves.

Staff awesome, setting lovely and food out of this world. Yea, bit pricy- but defo up to the standards of the ci well known Japanese restaurants. If that doesn't sell it, they have Sapporo on draft!!

Can't wait to go back.

“Atmosphere is authentic; so are the staff. Food is decent.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2010

Excellent atmosphere. Plenty of room. Inside and outside settings. All staff we saw were Japanese. The food was authentic, but I would not recommend this place for top-rate sushi. High end of “reasonable” in terms of price.
