“A beautiful cottage for you and your dog”
Reviewed 2 June 2018 for a stay in May 2018

If you would like to stay in St. Kilda with your dog, the Wyndham Cottage St. Kilda is perfect for you!!! The cottage is lovely with great charm and wonderful amenities including gated access, fenced enclosure around cottage front, excellent provisions and kitchen utensils, and most everything you can think of for a vacation. Just a block or two from the park which allows dogs off leash. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again when in the area.

“Unique City Stay”
Reviewed 30 December 2017 for a stay in October 2017

My husband and I stayed here for our Anniversary in October. The Apartment was such a lovely suprise. It was set in lovely gardens and buildings reminiscent of a time gone by making it feel very special. It was very clean, comfortable and private. The location couldn't have been better as it was within walking distance to bars, restaurants and transportation - making us explore. The beach/pier was only a short walking distance too. We didn't use the car until we reluctently left.

Andrew was very helpful with great directions and and plently of local information. The place was made to feel as if it was our own whilst we were there.

We would love to stay again and would not hesitate in recommending to tourists and locals alike.

“Beautiful courtyard, lovely cottage, amazingly helpful owner”

We really loved our stay at Wyndham Cottage - it is tucked away from the hustle and bustle down a pathway, through 2 secure garden gates - when you open the second gate you're in a lovely secluded courtyard - complete with fishpond, table and chairs, lovely garden (when we were there the jasmine was flowering and it smelt amazing) and the accommodation is a cute 1-bedroom cottage - lovely and cool when we were there and it included everything you could need - beach towels, washing machine, games, chocolates. It is close to Woolworths, restaurants, the beach, cafes etc. Andrew was amazing; helpful and friendly, he went out of his way to ensure we knew where to go and got our instructions (I forgot our Trip Advisor password and couldn't access the instructions to get into the cottage!!) This was a lovely oasis in a busy and noisy city. One night we even sat outside under the sun umbrella in the rain watching a thunderstorm roll through!! Would definitely stay here again.

“Idyllic living in the heart of lively St Kilda”
Reviewed 15 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

What a find! This is our second stay here and I hope we’ll be here again. The cosy, delightful cottage is tucked away behind an apartment block, accessed through a secure gate tucked in a private alleyway. Open the gate into the garden and it is like a different world, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of St Kilda and entering a secret domain.

The cottage has everything you could want for a short or longer stay. Extremely well equipped and with many thoughtful touches, there is more than enough to ensure a home from home feeling. The bedroom is tastefully and simply decorated with a large comfortable bed, a perfect living space and a gorgeous outside courtyard. There is a small but well equipped kitchen, great audiovisual and fast Wi-fi. On warm days we lived outside and barbecued.

There was enough room to entertain our son and his family, who live nearby, and also my enough rom for my sister who visited for a couple of days from Brisbane.

The location is amazing. Melbourne’s transport network is superb, and Wyndham Cottage is within a couple of minutes walk of the extensive bus and tram network. Melbourne Tullamarine Airport Skybus also drops within 2 minutes walk and we figured that from here you can reach any major city in the world in just two or three steps. There are superb shops and restaurants around the corner (loved Fitzrovia) and Albert Park (home of the Aussie Grand Prix and world class sporting facilities) is just across the road. St Kilda’s Acland St is 10 minutes walk or a short hop on the tram and Melbourne CBD about 15 minutes by tram.

Andrew is a great host, unobtrusive but available if needed and keen to ensure guests have everything they need. He checked we had everything we wanted, solved a couple of minor issues instantly and was available when needed. Great communication.

I can’t recommend Wyndham Cottage enough. Love this place.

“Lovely greens”
Reviewed 31 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

The self contained cottage has all the mod cons for a comfy 'home away from home ' vacation. We arrived on an early morning weekend flight and were glad Andrew was able to accommodate this; we were able to leave our luggage and explore St Kilda while the cottage was being tidied and prepped. Coming from a tropical urban country, we truly appreciated the privacy, peace and quiet, and the cottage's lush little garden and accompanying birdsong. The trams to the city center are just up the street, a supermarket and the beach are also a short walk away. Lush little garden + well equipped cottage + handy location = an enjoyable stay for us.

“Delightful, private 1BR Gem in a busy city”
Reviewed 19 February 2017 for a stay in January 2017

The feature that makes Wyndham Cottage an outstanding 1BR rental is its garden.
As soon as you step through the private gate you are in a peaceful, natural place, that is all your own. The cottage itself is delightful, bright, clean and airy. Very comfy main bedroom and extremely well equipped throughout, great washing machine/dryer and also an outside line. You can be completely self sufficient or not as the mood takes you. We walked to St Kilda beach and pier or took the 16 Tram to the city and to the Australian open Tennis.St Killda is full of restaurants and there are 2 good supermarkets close by.
Andrew was amazingly helpful with all our crazy questions and requests. He makes every effort so that you will enjoy your holiday.
We loved returning from the city crowds to the privacy and quiet of our "cottage".
Sitting under the shade of the leafy trees, enjoying a drink, lunch or a BBQ. It was perfect.

Dear Lynden, thankyou for taking time to share your experience, I focus on making sure guests have a great holiday and hearing feedback like yours gives me a big smile and makes it all worthwhile! I think you have summed up everything at the cottage very well. Peace and privacy in your very own comfortable and relaxed environment is one thing you can miss sometimes when away from home and those are some of the things we aim to provide at the cottage. We are very lucky to be able to provide a unique combination of indoor and outdoor living too. It was great to meet you both, wishing you all the very best! Regards, Andrew

“Excellent Pet Friendly Holiday Rental”
Reviewed 25 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

We stayed here with our dog over Christmas. Large, secure and private courtyard. Very clean and comfortable accommodation with a very well equipped kitchen. Split system air conditioner kept the whole cottage cool on some very hot days. Great location. Short walk to tram to the city. Woolworths supermarket easy walking distance. Many local shops, cafes, bakeries etc also close by. Andrew is an excellent host. Couldn't recommend this holiday rental more.
