“Good for a business trip!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2014

It's a very nice motel although a little way out of town. You have to drive in to town for meals etc if you aren't eating at the motel - which I didn't. The rooms were very nice though and you would be happy to spend a night here if travelling through.

Minibar snack was eaten ....not defected by management. Poor form that.
No real drinking glasses. Wine glasses are a bastardised version to suit all varieties.

Minibar way over priced. $48 for a steak at the restaurant I mean come on.

Rooms are spacious and parking is narrow and confined.

I don't intend to stay here any more as I believe management is mean!! Take your room key and the heater stops on those cold days. Yes mean! I was a regular corporate. Shame. This place is not 4 star. Compare to best western at Sale - a world of difference.

I am so sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations. Your comments are important to us and I have spoken with housekeeping about inspecting minibar items each day, water glasses are supplied in the fridge or draw so I must apologise if these were not available. We do supply additional keys for guests to keep their power available for heating or cooling. Eye fillet and daily specials are offered which are far cheaper than our Wagu Steak. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you at Century Inn as our guest’s opinions are very important to us.

Room was ok but the TV reception kept dropping out. Wi Fi was expensive as was the food. Very nice French cuisine but way overpriced. The hotel is still quite a distance from the major towns which makes it a true motel!

Room Tip: Ive stayed in 2 rooms at this hotel and they were both reasonably quiet

The motel was not in scenic surrounds, but was easy to find and conveniently located on the outskirts of Traralgon. We stayed in Room 47 which was a king size room at the rear of the property. Despite the motel being on the main highway, the room was very quiet apart from a little bit of thumping and bumping on the first evening only, which we think was from the fitness centre which was in the adjacent room. The room was spacious, clean and stylish and I think that this was probably the best quality motel we have stayed at in this price range. Very basic cooking facilities were provided including a double hot plate, microwave and toaster with a few cooking utensils. There were only two glasses provided - one 7 oz and one wine glass. I thought two of each would have been more appropriate. The bed was really comfortable on one side, but as is so often the case, one side of the bed had a well worn hollow in it which didn't do my husband's bad back any good. The pillows were firm and high. All the staff we encountered at the reception desk and the restaurant (room service) were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. The room we were in had both interior and exterior access. The exterior access opened directly on to the carpark, and it should have been a simple matter to transfer all of our luggage from our car straight into our room rather than having to go around 'the long way' through the building to the interior entrance. However no consideration had been given to this when planting the garden which separated the rooms from the carpark; if you wanted to access your room via the exterior entrance directly from the carpark, you had to climb through (or try and do a 'giant-step' over) the thigh-high ornamental grass which had taken over the garden. The room service menu was very fancy (think 'My Kitchen Rules') and didn't provide a lot of options for two people who don't eat fruit. The meals were small and if you have a good appetite be prepared to order sides of vegetables or chips at $9 a pop for a small bowl. The quality of the meals was also below what I expected considering the prices. My small piece of salmon was beautiful apart from the skin being over-salted, but my husband's Wagyu Scotch Fillet was tough and full of gristle and fat. The Wi-Fi was free as part of our accommodation package, but was slow and kept losing its connection.

This hotel recently changed hands. The rooms are great and the location is fine. The problem is they charge a ridiculous price for internet when it is free at most B&B's. When we checked inn the desk person was very nice and gave us a free drink voucher for the bar. We checked in and headed to the bar for a free drink and were told by the manager that it was only good in the restaurant. When I asked the desk person she said she didn't understand because it was good in the bar yesterday. The restaurant looked nice but based on the manager's attitude we ate elsewhere. Their loss.

We stayed here for the second time this year as a family in interconnected rooms and I've stayed in 5 star metro hotels which havent been as clean as these rooms. Location is not perfect scenery but it is for what we stay for as it breaks up our trip to see family. Very modern rooms.

I had an overnight stay at the century inn on a work trip and was not disappointed.

Rooms - very clean and well appointed. Great en-suite again very clean. It was extremely rainy and windy this night which you could hear but it was not intrusive. Car parking is very good and close to rooms.

Restaurant - we had planned on going into Traralgon for tea but after driving around ( and deciding we both wanted wine) we used the inns restaurant. Glad we did. The food and service was very good. The temp of the restaurant was a little cool but that could have just been us being fom WA.

Location - the inn is quite a way out of town so a car is essential. You cannot walk. This did not phase us at all. It is close to the airport if you are flying in though. It is right on the Princess hwy but no road noise heard at all.

Staff - everyone we met was great and very friendly. The facilities for meetings and conferences also look very good.

I had no problems giving this establishment this score and will probably plan my next trip around staying here.
