I booked a one night stay in the spa suite as I had a school renunion to attend. The outside of the building looks old but looking inside the room it was very spacious and clean and tidy. The Bathroom was very large and the shower was very nice at least it was not a water saving shower head. The bed ws very confortable and the air con worked well. we did not eat breakfast at the resturant but down the road at Henry's(Subject to another review) it was very nice. Overall the Clifton is location is great.

Room Tip: I would go for the spa suite.

This motel is a gem! I booked a one night stay at short notice in the spa suite... Outside appearances are so deceiving. Late arrival was no problem, Check in was quick and friendly. As I said earlier outside appearance of our room was deceptive...my partners first comment was ohhh (more than a hint of disappointment). The outside presentation was fine actually just a little plain compared to the main frontage ... BUT... The interior is fantatic...classy impeccably neat, clean and with quality fittings. The spa adjoins the bedroom and it is fantastic... Marble throughout, just a great atmosphere. The king bed was very comfortable, the chocolates on the bed romantic touch huge room great quality. Breakfast very reasonably priced and excellent quality. The dining room is roomy, well appointed and clean. The chef was friendly and all round added to our experience . GREAT value for money will be back... Can't say one negative of our stay.

Booked the Clifton online in Australia whilst on holiday, the Hotel is very well situated if you want to visit the nearby Dolphin Discovery Centre,( which is the subject of another review)
The Clifton is a little dated but you will not be disappointed. The welcome was warm and inviting and we were given information on local eateries and attractions without having to prompt the receptionist. The rooms were clean and tidy and had all the usual trappings plus a few more. The room had a fridge(to keep the beers cold) ,a toaster ,if you wanted to order room service breakfast.,plenty of toiiletries?A standard room had a queen sized bed and a single bed, plenty of room to stretch out.?its not the Ritz but it is clean and wholesome. We did use the pool and the hot tub which proved very inviting after a day of Dolphin watching

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the first floor ,you get a balcony with a table and chairs on it

What a fantastic experience. Lovely welcome, and such pleasant staff, some other Hotels could learn from the customer relations at this Hotel. Nothing too much trouble, arrived after retaurant closed, but no problem sat us down and saw to our needs. Returming to this part of Australia next year and my first to do on my list will be to book our stay here. Thanks guys you made our stay such a pleasure

We stayed for one night but wished it was more. The room was in great condition for its age with plenty of room. The bathroom was small and a bit old but was kept in good condition. The staff were fantastic, everyone we walked past said hello and the maintenance man even offered to move his car to help us manoeuvre through the car park! The location is amazing, a short walk in to town or to the beach. Would definitely stay again.

The visitor centre booked us in as we wanted to be near the beach and restaurants. We received a complimentry full breakfast making the stay great value for money. The room was a little dated but the pool, spa and location are excellent. Would consider staying in the room 5 star section next stay.

Room Tip: We prefer groundfloor.
