As a group of friends, we have stayed at Pam and Bret's for up to 2 weeks at a time on and off over the last 10 years and Pam and Bret are delightful and easy going hosts. We have always used the main house and I guess this is best suited to couples who know each other. The B and B is an oasis of green and beautifully maintained garden with a walled off swimming pool complete with sun loungers and covered table. The attraction of the main house is not only the quiet and comfortable rooms but the outside veranda with sofas, hammock and large table which is great for breakfast and meals in the evening. As a new addition, there is high speed WiFi now as well. We enjoy every return visit.

2 of us were in the spa room (room 4) for $189 a night for three nights.
First of all it has a great bed - an essential and something that some other B&Bs lack. Thank you. This was wonderful.
It also had lots of chairs, tables and a fully equipped kitchen - it lacked nothing from a functional furniture point of view and it was great to have a choice of chairs both inside and out and a sofa. So many accommodation places crimp on chairs. This was all much appreciated.
It is not what we expected from the description: we got two full rooms plus the ensuite (which is kinda perched higher than the bedroom which was unusual with a breeze block to climb up to step into it). The drawback was that we found the bedroom airless and would have liked a window to open with a fly screen.

Sadly we found the breakfast to be poor, in fact lacking. A B&B in our book is meant to include a nice bed and a nice breakfast, otherwise it isn't a B&B. We have stayed in many B&BS so have good experiences to compare it with. Here is what we got for breakfast, maybe others don't think it is mean but we did. It was left in our fridge for us, without discussion. All we got was a tiny packet of cereal each (no choice), two slices of bread each, a carton of orange juice and a banana each, on day 1. The second day ditto with a pear instead of a banana but they had reused the orange juice we had put in our fridge to drink later! Day 3 we had no breakfast left for us at all.

It was also a bit impersonal - we were to let ourselves in on arrival even though we were during the later afternoon at a normal time. It was nice and quiet, in a suburban street. If there were others staying there I don't know how quiet it would be as the units were close together, but we were pleased with the peaceful setting.

Best way to describe it is as self-contained accommodation similar to a beach shack. It was a bit tatty but homely. It kind of defies description. I am trying to be fair. I have been to two other B&Bs in Geraldton, one was even more impersonal and I never saw the owner as she didn't live on the property at all, and she also just left food in a communal fridge - I'd never go back to it. The other had a great hostess and cooked breakfast but I didn't like the bedroom at all. So this is kind of in the middle!

My husband and I were delighted to be able to find an excuse to re-visit Pam and Brett at the Geraldton B n B. It was lovely to see they have added a new family cottage since we were last here (have been many times). We were lucky enough to get the spa suite and after a long drive it was so nice to sink into the spa and relax. The gardens were as always and oasis and soothing to the soul. The spa suite is at the back so very quiet and has a full kitchen. Breakfast is your very basic continental breakfast but in the spa unit it's possible to have a big cook up if that's what you're after. Whenever we visit Geraldton this is the only place we would choose to stay. Thanks again to Pam who I missed out on seeing and Brett who was his usual kind self.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom house, the Internet view does not show the front of the house, shows the rear and is not a current photo but an old one showing the house as it was some time ago.problems with this b&b, (1) continental breakfast was old open boxes of cereal. Internet shows a cooked breakfast. (2) one double bed had odd matching sheets and the beds were not made on any of the days we stayed there.(3) the furniture on the back open veranda is old and dilapidated, rusty bar stools, one lounge settee collapses in the middle one sat on and is covered in dust and garden debree,8 setting table and chairs are old dirty and covered in dust and dried food.(4) door on bathroom come toilet does not lock and jams shut when trying to open from the inside.(5) timber railing on the back veranda is rotted through and is dangerous . Stair railing is the same.(6) decking on verandah is lifted and warped in some areas and the decking around two cocas palms on the verandah has gaps of around150 mil , just large enough to fit your foot into and would cause a very nasty injury if you fell into it.(7) cobwebs and large black spiders were everywhere on the verandah and out at the front entrance(8) overgrown bougainvillea is on one set of rear steps, could case someone to trip and fall down the steps, about 1.5 meter drop .(9) tv supplied to all bedrooms but some have remotes missing, tv on rear verandah has a remote but does not operate the tv, Ariel is no good for this tv and reception is very poor.
All in all certainly not worth the money we paid to stay there

Last week we stayed for 4 nights at the Geraldton Bed and Breakfast which we had chosen based on reviews and its website.. We were delighted with our choice. The garden which is at the rear of the property & covers 2 blocks is delightful. There's verandahs entwined with creepers, a small swimming pool surrounded by large loungers and giving good sun protection, a covered pergola and many striking pieces of sculpture as well as water features and palm trees in the exquisitively designed garden.
Our apartment, the spa suite was reached via three steps, and had an extensive verandah complete with small laundry at the far end.Inside there was a well equipped kitchen with flatscreen, round table and cream sofa. The adjoining bedroom featured a king sized four poster bed .This room had a lovely ambience provided by the cream, white and beige decor. A step up to the bathroom was next .This spacious room featured a corner spa large enough for 2 people.
Breakfast is continental with bread, jams, juice, milk, fruit and cereals provided in the refrigerator. Being a quiet residential area, very little noise is heard night or day.
Thanks to Pam & Brett for a very relaxing and comfortable stay, You are to be commended for providing such a haven for guests.

Room Tip: Spa suite with a long verandah at the back of the property is excellent, though other rooms looked v...

The Geraldton B&B was a real surprise and I have stayed in a few B&B around the world. We stayed in the largest of the 'rooms' on offer, which was in fact a 3 bedroom house. It was beautifully decorated and well stocked with breakfast supplies. If I were travelling with a group of friends and wanting a great place to stay for a vacation, this is the place I would want to be.

It will be hard for any other B&B to compare.

Stayed for two nights, and enjoyed every minute. Each unit opens up into the gardens. My room was small, without at all being cramped. Nicely decorated. The veranda would be great for warm summer evenings. A small kitchenette was attached, complete with fridge, microwave, toaster, cutlery and plates.
The owners have good reasons not to provide a full cooked breakfast - and who needs greasy food in the morning anyway? I was happy with the cereal, milk, bread and fruit etc. provided. Perhaps a small pot of yogurt would be a good option to add.
I think I made the best choice for Geraldton, especially when considering value for money. Most other accommodation in Geraldton is motel style and/or quite expensive. Reviews on TripAdvisor of these other places are often not great.
