Despite all the rave reviews, this Tour did not disappoint. There can be no better way to see and experience all that Margaret River can offer, and the changeable autumn weather adds to the excitement. Highly recommend this tour which is run by a very knowledgeable Sean. I think its the best one day tour I have done in any of my travels. Don't be put off by the cost as you will think its worth every dollar when you do it. You could pay half the price and have a really generic tour, but this is a much better experience.
Sean is a very knowledgeable guide, with a real passion for the area and a desire to share it with people on his tours. At the start of the tour, he told us that we would be covering a lot in a short space of time and we would be left wanting more of everything - he was right.
We started with a paddle on Margaret River, then tasted some local honey in a very peaceful spot, before lunch at Fraser Gallop vineyard made up of local produce and then a quick walk on a beautiful part of the Cape To Cape walk.
Sean is very likeable, and helpful with advice of what else you can do to get the most out of your time in Margaret River. This was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday.
A great day touring Margaret River - from the genteel surroundings of the Fraser Gallop vineyard, to a honey tasting at a rock pool under a wild beehive, canoeing quietly up the Margaret River chasing Cormorants and Kookaburras with a zoom lens, and a walk along a spectacular section of the Cape to Cape trail. Also a great picnic lunch from a local deli under a beautiful tree in the vineyards. Sean is friendly, engaging and knowledgeable, and shares a great deal about the wines and the countryside. The level of activity was well pitched - just enough to help walk off your lunch, but nothing my eight-year-old couldn't cope with easily
We had a brilliant day- this is for people who don't do tours. We were picked up in Sean's super comfy jeep. We experienced a brilliant side of Margaret River. Imagine going to a vineyard only open to you...and we ate amazing food, tried delicious wine...met Clive Otto- wine guru at Fraser Gallop. Never felt we had to buy anything and basically having Sean drive you around is like having a mate tell you all about everything...home away from home. You've got to do this tour if you want to understand Margaret River.
