We were reccomended the Discovery tour by our Lodge owner ...we were not dissapointed . Sean ran a small group (no more than 6 0 from a beautifully kept New Landrover that overed the ground between attractions effortlessy and comfortably . After a rief intro and layout o the day we haeaded off to a gentle but exhilarating paddle down Margaret River getting a sense and feel of the history and beauty of the region at close quartes and in perfect tranquility .
Sean took us to Fraser Gallop , a local vineyard that has won huge accolades internationally for their wine and winemaker Clive Otto , after a personal tour from Clive we sat down in the barrell room and enjoyed some examples of his work and a fabulous gourmet lunch of local produce which was something quite unique and something not available to people outside of this tour .....A truly unique and very satisfying experience .
Sen took us to contrasting spots on the wel renowned Cape to Cape route where we witnessed and experienced a significnt Aboridginal religous site at Meekadarebee Waterfall. The huge range of the flora and fauna was illustrated and as a bit of fun we had an impromptu honey taste under th shade of an old Jarra tree .
Our second walk was along the clifftops were you can again admire the bio diversity of the landscape but in conjunction with stunning Ocean views , we were very lucky, Sean managed to find us a Mother whale and her calf , close to the shore breaching happily in the sunny waters . an amazing site .
I have been to Australia many times and actually lived in The Rainforest , the Red centre and New South Wales for many months each . However in terms of diversity , pleasure and fullfillment that was up in my top Australian trips of all times . Sean stlyle is so easy going , but fully informed and passionate about Wine , Aboriginal Folklore and lifestle and the locale that it is easy to imaging him fronting one of these docu/adventure shows about West Australia .....probably when I next return he will be ...Either way I am going to engage him again to , this time to be our personal guide and host for a couple of days as the love affair with Margaret River will go on .

We had such a fantastic time with Sean that its the highlight of our perth trip. The various attractions that he brought us to was fantastic and above our expectations. Unfortunately, we didn't go for the canoe portion as there are two members of our group who couldn't swim( that's including me), but the trip still turned out fantastic. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Sean collected us from our hotel and then off to the Margaret River for canoeing.....very safe canoes, and beautiful scenery...so peaceful. (you do not have to be an Ironman to paddle on the River!!) After our "exercise" we had coffee at Prevally Beach at a cafe, then on to an aboriginal site and tasting of honey. Sean is very knowledgeable of the areas, local flora and fauna, and is happy to answer any questions. The highlight was the exclusive entrance to a winery and meeting an award winning winemaker, who very kindly spent time with us answering lots of questions, and we drank beautiful wine(not just "a tasting"!) and lunching on lovely local produce. Then onto a coastal cliff top walk. Only 5 on the tour in a very comfortable 4WD. Fabulous day, and thoroughly recommend.

We were visiting Margaret River (and Australia) for the fist time and I had been looking at various tours on the inernet. However, my boyfriend had veto'd every single one on the grounds that he hated tours and, more particularly, hated stupid people with dumb questions and buses...

Fortunatly, we ended up with the Margaret River Discovery Tour, which he now describes as the perfect tour for people who hate tours! Very small groups (5 in our tour including us), a fantastic, knowledgable and enthusiastic host, excellent trasnport (no buses) and plenty of personal touches. Kayaking on the river was a fantastic experience and the vineyard lunch (complete with hamper of local produce and the best wine we tasted in the region) was excellent. The perfect way to get to see, eat and drink the best of Margaret River, with some off the beaten track and unusual touches (for example, tasting a variety of honeys produced from the flowers of different trees in the forest we were walking through).

Make sure you take a camera and book without hesitation!

Sean at Margaret River Discovery tours provides the most enjoyable tour the Margaret River scenic beauty as well as behind-the-scenes wineries. You will travel in his very comfortable vehicle and be treated to a personalized small group tour that engages you, delights your senses and makes you laugh. He even bought me a coffee when I said I needed some caffeine after the wine tastings and before the hiking. Sean is knowledgeable and has excellent presence and provides a great tour for the $$$. Sure glad we booked ahead!! The word is out now.
