“Set lunch is like kids menu, entre squid...”
Reviewed 14 March 2010

Set lunch is like kids menu, entre squid salad had only 3 small pieces of squid. For the main, the steak, salad and chips were all squeezed on to a kids size plate. Friend had steak that cost allmost $50 and it was put on kids size plate as well with no garnishing, salad or chips. Just plain steak!!!! Overall felt like A cheap meal!!! Taste was ok, but we'll not go back again!

“Expensive but sophisticated dinning experience in the deep south.”
Reviewed 1 February 2010

The place comes across as a chic restaurant/bar from east Sydney rather than a local in the deep south of Wa. The service is knowledgeable and professional, the food is well executed with local seafood specials and great aged steaks with a wide local wine selection, some by the glass. We went as a family with teenage kids and were greeted well, as you would expect in a holiday area. It was the food highlight of our trip, but not inexpensive, more a special occation place. Nice looking bar area as well.

“not a good experience”
Reviewed 19 January 2010

Had researched MR while in England before our trip and had seen good reviews for Must so persuaded my family that this was the place to go on one of the nights that we were staying in MR. We all wished I hadn't bothered.
Seemed ok when we arrived but as the evening went on irritating things just added up to make it all a disappointment. I had been expecting something special - particularly with the steaks, but ours was tough and overcooked which the waitress was very keen tp point out was our own fault as we had them well done.
We skipped desserts as nothing on the menu appealed but decided on the cheese board. Waited 25mins after ordering before asking where they were and was told we had to wait until they were warm enough to serve.
Very expensive for what we got - for the four of us with two starters, four mains, one cheese board, one bottle wine, one water, and two glasses port it was 325 dollars.
By far and away the most expensive and the most disappointing meal throughout our entire time in Australia

“Fantastic lunch special”
Reviewed 19 January 2010

My friend and I were looking forward to eating here during our short stay in Margaret River, early in 2010. We were pleasantly surprised to see a lunch special for $66 which included a glass of wine and 2 courses for each of us. Although, this is a 20% increase in price to the lunch special quoted in previous reviews, it is still amazingly good value!! The service was excellent (both at lunch and when we returned in the evening to sample some wines at the bistro) whilst the ambience was pleasant and very suitable for dining. Each of our dishes were top quality, and I thoroughly enjoyed the quail as an entree. This is definitely one of the best value lunch specials going around.

“Must is a must”
Reviewed 9 January 2010

We were in MR over New Year and went to Must for dinner twice. I agree with other reviews that it is a little expensive but we were not disappointed either time and the flavours were delicious. The first time we were there for the early sitting and required to be out by 8pm but they made sure that we were looked after in time without anything seeming to be rushed. And so we booked again for our final night. They had something special on for New Years Eve and we would have liked to join in but it was fully booked. It is by far the most elegant restaurant in MR.
