We stayed at Llewelling's for a long weekend at the beginning of October. Being spanish and visiting Margaret River for first time, we where so excited. When we arrived to the house both the place and the owners exceeded our expectations.
The house is located in the middle of the forest, with a very nice garden. It's really quiet and nice there. They only have three rooms, and all the details are taken care of (from the nice decoration and cleanliness, the olive oil soaps and shampoos, to the incredible candles they use - I couldn't help to buy some when we arrive back to Perth).
James and Joanna (and Lilley) make you feel like you were at home. The welcoming drink was nice and friendly. The breakfasts were just.....INCREDIBLE. The best ingredients with James gourmet touch. Lemon curd and their muffins were our favourites!!
They know very well the area, so you can ask them about were to go, which places to visit, which are the best restaurants around...
By the way, we went on a vineyard tour with James that was really worth it. He introduced to us several vineyards, we tasted several wines in each, without having to drive; but the best part was that it felt like we were with a friend, instead of being just customers.
I really recommend this place.

Llewellins's is one of the most lovely places I have stayed in the world, I can't rate it highly enough. The location was lovely with beautiful gardens and lots of birds, semi-tame rabbits, bobtail lizards, and lily the dog. Joanna and James, the hosts, were so lovely and informative about the region. The gourmet breakfasts were fabulous, and the welcome drink and bottle of wine in our room was very kind. Usually I don't spend much time at our accommodation when we travel, but at Llewellin's I just wanted to sit outside our room by the garden and enjoy the peace, quiet and fresh air! But of course there are a lot of beautiful vineyards and beaches within a 10 minutes drive so you are never without something to do. Wish I could have stayed a week! Thanks Joanna and James for a lovely time.

Wow what a fantastic place.Breakfast to die for and the best ever muffins and the location is just right. Just out of town but within walking distance to the beach and golf course. James and Joanna are the best B&B people that we have ever come across. The welcome drink was perfect and they are soooo friendly. Nothing is to hard for them and there recommendations about other placers are spot on. The James wine tour was exceptional ticking all the boxers. Some times at the end of your holiday your ready to go home but we just wanted to stay, thats how welcome we felt. It was just a wonderful experience and we will be back as soon as possible.Cheers

Room Tip: Any room will do they are all fantastic you can't go wrong.

We recently spent 4 nights with James & Joanna (& Lilley the Maltese ) while the weather was average James' epic breakfasts and their wonderful hospitality made the whole stay relaxing and memorable. The room and setting was nice only a few minutes from MR but still close to everything. Nothing was a problem for our hosts and they were wonderful company without being intrusive. Highly recommended

I'm not sure where to start when putting pen to paper to explain our stay with Joanna and James.
Do I mention the welcoming drink, the beautiful setting or the wonderful toiletries from the Natural Soap Company? There is also the free bottle of wine and the tastefully furnished rooms to consider. Or could it be that they don't even advertise any more as being #1 on TA says it all? And don't get me started on the food....I do have to mention the fetta and bacon omelette. I devoured it on two occasions!
It's not just these highlights to consider but the fact that you are treated as friends. James and Joanna are the most welcoming hosts as they invite you into their home. You are encouraged to socialise with the other guests (only if you want to) and we did very well!! In fact we all ended up in town enjoying dinner.
I would have given LLewellin's Guest house 6 stars if possible and have already mentioned our stay to other couples during our travels.

Thank you Joanna and James for a wonderful stay in Margaret River.

Room Tip: We enjoyed the ambiance of the garden room but I'm sure any room would be a great choice.

Joanna and James are the perfect host and hostess with a beautiful property very conveniently located. Everything is done to the highest standard and we felt really welcome. The breakfast is indeed exceptional and the bottle of wine in the welcome basket a lovely touch. Definitely our #1 recommendation for Margaret River.

We could not have picked a better base for visiting the Margaret River region. The accommodation is in a very peaceful location and the room decor is tasteful. Speaking of tasteful, James’ breakfasts are to die for ;-)

James is very knowledgeable of the area and happily offers recommendations on places to eat & drink. There is so much to see and do in the region. Our only regret is not staying for longer. We hope to return someday.
