We chose this wine tour based on the fact that you don't just get a platter for lunch - we had an exceptional lunch at the beautiful winery Vasse Felix. The day flowed really well thanks to our guide Jamie, alternating between wine and food tasting. Adinfern was another highlight with Merv providing very insightful information on the wine making process. The day was really relaxed and we never felt rushed at any stage, which I have felt on other wine tours. The guys also got their way at the end for a beer at the Caves Hotel! Cannot recommend this wine tour enough! Thanks Jamie and also the four local Ozzies for an excellent day. From Eileen, Diarmuid & Carmel (The Irish!)

What a fabulous day out - Jamie is the best host, and the places we visited made it a very balanced day. Adinfern Winery was a great start, followed by food, more wine, cheese, chocolate, coffee, more food, more wine. Included a private tasting and lunch chosen from the menu including a glass of wine at Vasse Felix - no platter here!! Time left at the end, and our group chose a cleansing ale at Caves House.
Would recommend this tour - looks a bit more expensive than some, but much better value.
Thankyou Jamie for a great day, and also the great Irish trio - Eileen, Diarmid and Carmel.

Wow what a day! If you love your food and wine this is the "only" tour to do. Jaime was the best tour guide he is an easy going guy who grew up in the region with great knowledge of the area and has great relationship with all the wineries and shops. You definitely get what you pay for and more! With lunch at the best winery in the region and extra stops along the way you will not be disappointed. Like some tours you are NEVER rushed and majority of the time you spent at quality venues, not traveling around.

From the time we were collected at our accomodation to the time we were dropped off it was brilliant. Despite only having 3 booked customers, Jamie did not consider canceling the tour, and all systems were go.

We headed off to our first stop, Adinfern, a family owned winery. Ian, our gracious cellar door host, took us down to the grapes, shared the story of his families wine production, then took us through our first tasting. Sadly there was only one Chardy left for purchase, so the rest of you will have to wait until next year to taste this great drop.

Next we stopped in Cowaramup for some produce tasting. Yum. But too many options to fit in the suitcase and transport home....

Vases Felix was beautifully situated in luscious grounds with a gorgeous cellar door and restaurant. We first tasted their wines, then had an enjoyable lunch in the restaurant, relaxing on the verandah with some vino to wash it down.

Providore was our next stop, and the options for tasting were endless. Wines, choc liqueurs, olive oils, dukhas... too many to recount, and we were spoilt for choice.

Being so few of us we proceeded through our pit stops fairly quickly, so the ever generous Jamie offered another tasting. As Cullen winery, with its biodynamic production intrigued us all, off we headed for yet another taste.

Then it was back up old Caves rd, to Windows, the small couple owned winery. The cellar door took me back home to sunny Qld, with its beach theme, and relaxing surrounds. We met the young female owner (apologies for the memory lapse here), who graciously shared the story of the rapid growth of their vineyard and it's recent success. Magnificent wines, paired with some yummy cheeses, they were so good we had to send some back across our vast country for later consumption. Try not to miss this winery. I am sure you will hear more about their success in the future.

Our finale was the bean to bar chocolate heaven that is Gabriel's chocolates. Sublime is the only word to describe their choccie. After tastings we had time to ponder purchases, as we sipped our wickedly decadent choclate coffees and choc chip cookie taster. Sometimes life is tough.....

Sadly, 7 hours later, it was time for home. During our lunch when we chatted with Jamie he spoke of his vision and passion for providing a tour with a difference. He likened it to a progressive lunch, with nibbles, then main, with a sweet finish to end the day. Having grown up in cow country (sorry can't spell the "up" place again), with a penchant for real, good food, Jamie has both the knowledge to share, and the passion to inspire.

So, if you only have one day to spare, spend it with Jamie, and join his wonderful tour.
At the end of the day, you too will know it was an excellent choice.
