“Great, Great, Great, Great!”

Great location, Great rooms, Great Value and Great staff!

Located in the back of the Margaret River Hotel the suites offer a cheaper option without taking away the cleanliness and guest services of a five star hotel. The room was EXACTLY the same as what was photographed on the website. WIth two single beds, TV, Fridge, small bathroom with a shower it was exactly what we needed. The room was spotless and felt not only clean but homey. Our room, five, was more than big enough for two people and their bags. The check in staff were so super friendly upon check in and giving recommendations for places in the area to eat. The hotel itself is located off the main road in the center of town and in walking distance to everything you need. We loved our stay and if ever back in Margaret River there would be no question on where to stay.

Room Tip: The only recommendation I have is that if someone is a light sleeper to request a room a bit further...

Thank you for taking the time to post a review, and thank you for your kind comments. We are in the process of refurbishing the motel units (Holiday Suites). Hopefully we'll see you again and you can compare the old and new!

Top location on main street in town although still nice and quiet. Ideal for a short trip. Very easy access to bars and restaurants. Room was very small so maybe add a comment when booking if you need more floor space for suitcases etc.

The suites are located at the back of the house, actually facing Townview Terrace, which guarantees peace and quiet, away from the madding crowd on the main street.

Reception desk was very friendly. Maintenance was efficient. When we informed reception desk that a light above the kitchenette was not working, it was fixed while we were away for the day.

This establishment is actually a motel, and you park your car just outside your room. Our room was comfortable, with a queen sized bed w 4 pillows, 2 armchairs w a small round table for meals, bedside tables and side reading lamps, flat panel TV mounted on wall opposite the bed, and a long mirror mounted on the same wall as the bed.

The bath room comes w a rain shower, typically Australian, single vanity counter w just enough space for own personal toiletries. It came w 3 small bars of soap and 2 small bottles of conditioning shampoo and a small box of facial tissues. There were 2 bath towels and one floor towel.

There was no shower cap, no hand towel, no moisturiser, and no disposable bedroom slippers. We brought our own because the tiles in the kitchenette and bathroom were cold. The suite does not come with a room safe.

The wardrobe comes with 5 hangers, an iron board and iron, and a shelf space for extra blankets. There was no extra shelf or drawer for other clothes.

The mini kitchenette is adequate w a microwave oven, under counter fridge, under counter pantry, toaster, electric kettle, 2 wine glasses, 2 water glasses, 2 coffee mugs, 3 cereal bowls, 2 dinner plates, 2 side plates, 2 sets cutlery, 1 paring knife, 1 bread knife , 1 teacloth, 1 cleaning rag. One of the cereal bowls was used to hold teabags, instant coffee sachets, white sugar sachets. A small carton of fresh milk was in the fridge.

The suite is cleaned everyday. A reverse-cycle air conditioner hangs above the kitchenette.

The location of the establishment is very convenient because it allows one to avoid drink-drive in the evenings. And Woolsworth and IGA supermarkets are just 5 mins walk.

Room Tip: Ask for the ones at the back of the house, if you prefer the quiet; and ground level if you prefer n...

My partner and I stayed one Saturday night September 2013. We love Margaret River and have been here many times staying in different places. This place was a disappointment. We were put in one of the king spa holiday suites which are located separately away from the old MR Hotel, behind a car park. It cost 200 bucks for the night. First, we thought we were staying in the old hotel which is a lovely and charming place. This was not clear upon booking. The room had zero view, looking on to a concrete stairwell. The place smelt very strongly of mould. The pillows in the cupboard could not be used due to their overpowering mouldy smell. One of them was dirty too (obviously unwashed). The sign above the sink declaring that if dishes were not washed up by the guest, a surcharged would be payable, was an insult. Given that we paid 200 dollars for the one night this was really "taking the p...roverbial"!! The air conditioner didn't work and there was no wifi. The bed was tired and old and sagged badly. The spa did work, yay. It was adequate as a basic place to sleep and just off the main drag, but for the price, definitely not worth it. You can do better. Margs is expensive but this was just not up to scratch.

Room Tip: If you are wanting to stay at the actual MR Hotel check if you are booking for the old hotel.

We stayed in a King Room on a special that included breakfast (continental served in the room) and a bottle of champagne on arrival. The room was on the top (second storey) floor and was clean, spacious, climate controlled with a king bed. There was a little kitchenette with a fridge, sink, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery and glasses, plates etc. The bathroom was a so ole ensuite with plenty of hot water and a hair dryer. All they ask is you do your own dishes before leaving which is standard in any accommodation that is self contained.

The location was perfect right in the centre of town located behind the Margaret river Hotel. It provided easy access to the shops, cafes and nightlife. Having said this it was not noisy at anytime.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant provided a great range of yummy food and wine at reasonable prices.

Great value for money, centrally located and perfect for a weekend getaway.

Room Tip: Choose a king room

It was a welcome room to arrive to after being soaked through by rain all day. Had a family room which had a bunk bed, a single bed and a double divided by a wall. The room was slightly dated but clean and effective. Slightly bemused by the idea that there would be a surcharge if we didn't clean the crockery.

The bathroom did suffer from being cold and the AC unit in the main room struggled to heat the place to a good temperature. But the beds were comfy and we spent very little time in the room.

Our room was facing the carpark so there was a lot of delivery noise in the morning with trucks and what not unloading opposite.

Room Tip: Perhaps not one facing the carpark or the road that runs through the centre of the sight.
