Owner description: Mammoth is an impressive, gothic-like cave that could easily be described as the perfect home for a caveman. Tours are self-guided with an audio headset and begin via an elevated boardwalk through towering Karri forest. As you journey through the spectacular formations lookout for the carefully lit animal bones and fossils and listen to the stories about extinct animals. Wildflowers are abundant around the precinct from September to November. Located 22km south of Margaret River.

We have had a guided tour into the cave....wow!
This exploration into the cave with a guide was an interesting visit.
There are fossils remains of the giant Zygomaturas and other animals.
Very educational and truly wonderful to experience and see the natural structure of the cave.
Magnificent!
Entrance fee apply. A$22 for 1 cave & A$55 for 3 caves. Children - A$10 & A$24

It's a enjoyable experience!

Enjoy!

“Mega fauna tour”
Reviewed 17 July 2014 via mobile

We spent the morning attending a great workshop and cave tour at mammoth cave on the mega fauna tour. It was a great way to spend the morning at $15 a head it was well worth it as usually the tour of the cave alone costs $22. Everyone learnt something including the adults. I was a little worried my 3.5 year old wouldn't stay interested but that wasn't the case. Also under 4yr are free. Would really recommend it.

“Fun, atmospheric and informative”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

A well-preserved cave, with the infrastructure in place for visitors (railings, steps, safety lights, signs etc). Kids enjoyed exploring the place while listening to the commentary on the audio guide. The way out of the cave, however, involves 100+ steps, which left our poor Grandma huffing a little, on the narrow metal stairway (impatient people behind didn't help). So those who are out of shape, take note!

“Majestic”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

A self guided audio tour is offered through the National Parks and Wildlife Service ($22 I think?). I had the cave to myself on a cold wet day and it was quite majestic. The audio is good quality and informative.
