I was a bit dubious about having breakfast in a bakery!! However what a find !! This place has a "hippy" feel to it, but visited twice and there was almost standing room only - people continually coming in a takeaways and eating in.
Their advertised $16 big breakfast consisted of a huge helping of creamy scrambled egg,1 whole Tomato, mushrooms, heaps of bacon and 2 large pieces of sourdough toast. Could not even think of eating again until dinner at night, even after giving the toast to my partner to eat !! Also tea is served in a pot with REAL tea leaves :-)

Been awhile since last here, recommended by girls in local health food shop as they did not have a sit down inside area (winter here atm) & suggested the MR Bakery. So quirky, busy & boy was the chicken & avocado roll for $8.50 sooo good, asked for a knife to cut into 2 to share & hubby had a great large decaf coffee & I had a Earl Grey tea served on a wooden platter with traditional old fashioned cup & saucer, teapot which filled up cup 3 x times & small milk jug. Honey for hubby as a sweetener no problem when asked.
Furniture is very quirky, funky, mis-matched but works so well, very busy on the Sat morning. Great place to visit after visiting local Farmers Markets each Sat morning.
Definitely will be going back soon, probably the next market day!

beautiful fresh pies, pasties and vanilla slices. All served on really quaint mismatched china and furniture also thoroughly mismatched. Such a unique look and absolutely beautiful food.

Aah, it's, err, been, err over 2 years since we visited the Margaret River Bakery (Apr 2012). But, it's still at the forefront of our minds. As you step in, you see the strange old assortment of mis-matched furniture, and you relax straight away. Hey, it's just like an old farmhouse kitchen. Then you go to the counter, you ignore the breathtaking cakes on display, and the friendly, hospitable staff who know their way around the menu inside out help you decide on what to eat. The food arrives, and you see the amazing attention to detail in the both the ingredients and the presentation. It's just heavenly. I had the Eggs Hollandaise. I can still remember the flavours right now.

One day we'll get back to Aus. One day we'll get back to the Margaret River Bakery.

Come here every time iam in town. I can honestly say the almond croissants are the best I have had (and I travel to france every year) truly love this place. The only thing I feel lets it down a bit is the milk they use in the coffee-just cheap supermarket stuff, it would be 100% and more beneficial if they used local milk or from the smaller dairys.
Also the toasted paninis are awesome.
In terms of cost it is bang on not cheap just right. Alot cheaper than the sub standard cafés and bakerys around perth.
See u soon (-:
