It's so nice to have such beautiful food in such a relaxed setting. We went as a group and had the banquet. Each dish looked like an artwork on the plate and it was absolutely delicious! It's enough food that you feel satisfied but not stuffed. We were very impressed and thought it lived up to the great reviews from friends. In terms of cost, it was definitely more of a treat than usual but worth it. Will be back!

Don't miss this amazing Japanese eating experience. We had the degustation menu which was fabulous. Very generous servings and a huge variety if dishes all cooked in front of you at the bar. Seating was either at tables or the bar around the kitchen. Staff were really friendly. Good value for money. Bookings required and you can see why! This is a winner!

We went to Mikis during our recent visit to Margaret River. We had the set menu which was really excellent and superb value. The service is well paced and it is fun watching your meal being prepared. I would certainly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area and are looking something a bit special

You need to book as Miki's is so popular, and we were given a choice of 2 sittings and went for the 6.20 slot, we had to be out in 2 hours. Even on a wet Wednesday night there were no empty tables. It was marvellous watching Miki at work preparing food, and he was happy to explain to us as he went along. We chose the trust menu for $55, as did pretty much everyone there. You get 6 (very small) courses, which are absolutely beautifully presented, and taste superb. With drinks we paid $80 a head. We left feeling glad we had had the experience of this unique restaurant, and also wishing perhaps that the portions were very slightly more generous. Overall I think it is a great addition to dining options in M River and judging by its popularity lots of others do too.

Miki's was highly recommended by our hosts and it was so nice to be able to have light Japanese food after a week of great wines and heavier meals... or so we thought...
Service was pleasant but not overly warm , the sittings were a strict in by 6.30pm and out by 8.30pm even though they had available spots around the counter. Many reviews said the counter was the way to go but although it was interesting, none of the chefs were inclined to make eye contact or chat with you if you sit at the far end of the counter.

We had the degustation because we were not sure what would be interesting dishes to try, the wait staff was not forthcoming with suggestions and almost seemed relieved we were doing degustation!

To our surprise although it was mostly lightly battered ALL the degustation offerings were deep fried with the exception of the kingfish sashimi. It's was quite a disappointment because we were expecting a lighter more elegant meal that is typically Japanese.

However the flavours were excellent and the fried rice served with the fried fish made it a hearty meal. Wines were cellar door prices which was a very nice surprise.
