“Too expensive”
Reviewed 23 January 2014

On arrival we were informed our room was not ready as people had not moved out. Put into an apartment for the night and told we would be moved in the morning. That night the people in app 10 arrived home at midnight and sat outside till 3am swearing and drinking so loudly that we went down but could not find any manager to tell. No phones in room .... Dangerous especially at night ...
Informed reception in the morning and told they would be spoken to. Packed up ready to be moved ... Went out... Rung about 1 pm told we were staying in the same room which was good.
Guest below did a repeat performance next night .. Could not believe it. Finally they checked out day three of our stay so we got to sleep at night.

If you think you are going to have your room serviced each day .. Forget it. They change the towels and thats it. Oh and a haphazard attempt at making the bed.
We had sheets that were stained and when asked if they were going to change them were told not usually... Husband insisted so they were begrudgingly. Bins not emptied, caught the house keeper rinsing the glasses and cups in cold water... No detergent then putting them back in the cupboard. We were there five days and the floor was never cleaned. Fifthy when we arrived and stayed that way whole time! Don't expect to cook in the kitchenette only one large saucepan. China old mismatching and chipped. On last day owner arrived at door saying the water from the shower was leaking down the light fitting into the room below. We asked what they wanted us to do... And was told be careful. So now were we expected to not shower? For the price you pay stay elsewhere !!!!! There is so many nicer cleaner and more modern places. We checked them out and would have moved except they were all booked out during our dates. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Room Tip: Rooms are very noisy and all road noise can be heard especially early in the morning.

Adamsons offers great rooms in a great location at the bottom end of town, down by the River. Everything you need (restaurants, shops, supermarkets, banks, etc) is within easy walking distance so you can leave the car at home (unless you find walking uphill a challenge). The reception is friendly and welcoming and the rooms are modern and comfortable. A delicious cooked or continental breakfast is included at La Scarpetta Trattoria (across the road), and you can have free use of the broadband internet and laundry if you wish. Some of the rooms in our group needed a good spring clean, but otherwise it was very good.

My husband and I stayed here 28th June for two nights. We booked last minute and didn't check on trip advisor beforehand. When I read the reviews i was a little wary because of previous reviews it had been given. However we were pleasantly surprised and found our room to be clean, comfortable and with a lovely little balcony with table and chairs. Towels were changed daily and the room had plentiful supply of tea and coffee with real milk!! A microwave if needed too. The bathroom was quite large. The shower took a bit of getting used to as it was either too hot or too cold but fiddling with the taps a little soon fixed that! Breakfast is supplied at the Italian restaurant across the road (covered within the nightly rate) a choice between a cooked breakfast or meusli and yoghurt with, tea, coffee, orang juice. Reception were friendly. Just ask about the free wifi as we weren't told about this initially. The only draw back is that it is near to Bussell highway and can be a little noisy, however that didn't stop us from getting to sleep. Walking distance to high street and bars and restaurants I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation.

We stayed in one of the 2 bed apartments over the Easter break and we were very pleased with the accommodation - very clean and comfortable. We were self-catering but we were always topped-up with teabags and coffee each day. Rooms were serviced daily. Staff very friendly. I would certainly go back there and the location was excellent.

The room was nice and was clean despite some of the other reviews I have seen. Reception were very friendly. My main problem was the shower; the temperature varied every few seconds and there was no pressure. Otherwise the accomodation was good. They now provide breakfast in the restaurant over the road, which was really nice. It is pretty pricey for what you get but I think thats the same all over Margaret River.

Bruce & the staff were lovely. Very friendly & helpful. Our room looked onto the well kept garden, was clean, comfy, had tea/coffee & FRESH milk not longlife tiny sachets so basically had all I needed for a few days.We didnt have any problems with parking.
Bruce told us he was one of the fairly new owners & had plans to revamp the rooms so I would have no hesitation in staying there again on our next Australian holiday.
Breakfast would be a nice option but then I would of missed out on the unique quirkiness of the bakery a few doors down.
The only reason I gave Location "Average" was because of the busy road being so close. Margaret river itself has lots of beautiful & interesting places to see just a short drive away.

The review below says it all, but a little harsh, it was ok, just! No food whatsoever, not even breakfast, went next door where we were supposed to get breakfast and it was closed, sorry Bruce, we paid a lot of money staying there, and it was just not good enough. Nice location on the edge of town, only a few
mins walk to the centre. Tip, eat at Must restaurant in the town, fantastic steaks and Oysters, it is a MUST. Not a lot in the town itself, but good walks and tours of the wineries around.
