“nice surprise when others are closed”
Reviewed 14 August 2011

We had hoped to visit the bird sanctuary in the area, but it was unfortunately closed (as most things seemed to be for some reason). We happened to find this little place that had a small but interesting array of reptiles of the area/country. The highlight was when they brought out one of the pythons for us to feel and hold! The staff were very friendly and informative and extremely patient with the younger visitors that seemed a little too keen to pat the snake on the head!

“A great all-weather place to go, well presented!”
Reviewed 16 March 2011

We visited with our two young children 3 and 5 and had an amazing morning seeing all the snakes and lizards and finding out about them. The 5 year old was reluctant at first, but even put a snake around his neck thanks to the fabulous owner and his hand raised snake being so calm and making him feel so safe. We took some pictured which are now his most favorite in the world of him with a snake around his neck!
This is a very well presented and laid out place to visit, small but a great way to spend a few hours and learn something new. Highly recommended for kids or international travelers who want to k ow more about Australian reptiles instead of the usual kangaroo/koala exhibits!

“Great place for kkids and adults alike!!”
Reviewed 27 December 2008

We have visited three times with kids aged 10, 8 and 2 who all thoroughly enjoyed their experience. The boys loved holding the snakes and especially liked Crikey the crocodile. Roger taught them a lot of interesting facts about our native reptile friends. The boys liked the tips to 'find the frogs' - fascinating rubbery little guys. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

“A deadly cool place to visit! Brand new place to visit....”
Reviewed 23 January 2007

A great new attraction for the Margaret River wine region of WA. Come and see some of WA's wonderful reptiles from freindly to not so friendly.
All built by young owners Roger & Kim, beautiful stonework by Roger (stonemason by trade) large glass windows. Showcasing local WA reptiles, frogs, small salty crocodile, lizards -small & large, snakes - pythons to venomous.
Play with a python, touch a turtle, gaze at th goannas, leap with the lizards. Found on corner of Wildwood Road & Bussell Highway next to Carbunup General Store on the highway.
Open currently 7 day approx 10-4.

Only opened Jan 2007.

Great place for young & old, beautifully presented, flat level carpark, all under cover so bad weather does not affect you an alternative to visiting the caves!
