Lovely place to stay

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 25 Feb 2017
My husband and I recently spent three nights at this excellent guesthouse set in a beautiful garden We were welcomed by Keith who gave us information on the local area and tips on the local wineries and restaurants. The cheese board and wine was much appreciated. Our spacious room was spotless, very well equipped and quiet with a large comfortable bed. Jane's cooked breakfasts were delicious as were the different homemade fruit compotes and preserves. We thoroughly enjoyed saying at Rosewood, Jane and Keith were the perfect hosts and we would recommend this lovely guesthouse as a perfect place to stay when visiting the Margaret River area.

My husband and I have just spent 4 nights at Rosewood. Keith and Jane are wonderful hosts and Jane's breakfasts are a highlight with something new to look forward to every day as well as the standard cereals, yoghurt, toast and stewed fruits. The bottomless coffee is plunger style from a local coffee roaster. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay and a good night's sleep. A laundry service is provided for $15 per load. We highly recommend taking the option of a wine tour or transfer to a winery for lunch in Keith's Rolls Royce. Rosewood is only 700 metres from the main street of Margaret River where there are lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from.

Room tip: The Wallcliffe suite has a separate bedroom, bathroom, toilet and kitchenette/living area.

Hi Brisbears
Delighted to know that you had a wonderful break and that we were able to tempt you with our breakfast menu. Getting a little laundry sorted out while you are off seeing the sights is a boon for many travellers, especially if they have treated themselves to travelling in the Rolls Royce!
Many thanks for taking the time to tell others of your experience at Rosewood.

Have just spent our 21st weekend at Rosewood guest house. As usual a great place to stay. Rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast included in price and is delicious.
Jane and Keith, are very easy to get on with and will do all they can to make the stay memorable. We have been coming here for many years.
Being close to the town area makes it great location. Looking forward to our next stay.

Rosewood guesthouse was easy to find off one of the main secondary roads in Margaret River, despite the house being shielded from the road by a beautiful and colourful garden bursting with flowers. There is plenty of private parking for all the guests and though there are steps up to the front door, heavy luggage can be wheeled round the back and up short ramps to the bedrooms.
Bedrooms are large and very comfortably furnished. Air conditioning is quiet and effective; the ambiance of the rooms is of a 4 or 5 star hotel room. Our room was very quiet at night and we slept well.
Keith and Jane, the hosts are friendly and informative. Jane's breakfast menu was different every day and always interesting and exceptionally well prepared and/or cooked. Breakfast on the front veranda under the wisteria was always a treat. The photo shows a couple of volunteer gardeners, taking a rest after clearing up visiting bugs off the wisteria.
The main thoroughfare of Margaret River is 700 meters walk on pavement lit by road lights at night. There are half a dozen very good restaurants and an amazing gastropub, all within easy walking distance.
We would happily have stayed twice as long but had a plane to catch so couldn't. Highly recommended.

Dear 53edwardw
We love the way the birds visit our garden and it is really lovely to take some time on the deck as you did, to enjoy the moment and relax. Thank you for your lovely positive review and the tip on luggage is a great one, the ramp makes it a lot easier and we are always happy to assist our guests. We really enjoyed meeting you and hope the onward journey was smooth.

Keith and Jane are both very welcoming and helped a lot in recommending places to eat and visit around the area. The breakfast provided in the morning was always amazing and you are never left feeling like you need anymore!

The rooms were very clean and serviced daily. Definitely a place i'd recommend to anyone who isn't afraid to spend just a little bit more for a wonderful B&B experience.

From the moment the door opened revealing Keith and his warm welcome to the moment we left, wishing we could stay longer, Rosewood was an oasis, a home from home and a brilliant base for our trip to Margaret River.

The room was comfortable and the guest areas furnished with lovely furniture and nick nacks. Lovely music accompanied the delicious breakfasts. Home made fruit preserves and jams accompanied our breakfast toast and the blueberry muffins, freshly made that morning and cooked when we were ready for them, were divine.

Keith and Jane are good company, with interesting tales of keeping a guest house as well as a mine of information about the area to guide your travels.

We would love to stay again.
