We booked here as a stopover working our way down the coast and am glad we did.
The studio room was a real surprise in that it was so nice, clean and open. Great sleep and, regretfully, did not get to the pool. The people were really pleasant and we are already planning a return trip. Takeaways from next door were lovely or 10K's up the road to Kaiuaua and Fish and Chips or Hotel.

A clean and pleasant site set out for a variety of uses, especially camper vans and tents but including a number of motel style units. We had a studio for three nights. The unit was modern with good fittings and of generous size. The layout is a little odd. Each building comprises a studio next to a two bedroom apartment. The studio is advertised as being particularly suitable for a couple or a couple with one child. The apartments obviously sleep many more and with poor sound proofing the noise of a large group and children impinged on the quiet we hoped for. There was no hob in our studio unit although the apartments appear to have them. You can get hot food nearby but it is limited so you have to be inventive if you want to cook in the unit. Units are only serviced if you are present (never come across this before - is it just a way for them to not service your unit?). So, if you are staying for more than a day and don't want to stay in until they decide to service, be prepared to wander across to reception to ask for toilet rolls, tea bags etc. Wifi was extra at $7 per 24 hours. No real soap or hair shampoo - liquid from dispensers of which the one in the shower didn't work. But it wasn't all bad; when we did get to sleep the bed was very comfortable.

The mineral hot pool was nice - just the right temperature for us and was never too crowded whilst we were there.

We very much enjoyed our stay at your clean, modern and well-cared for camp. The mineral pool was a gorgeous bonus with excellent long opening hours so the waters could be utilised before departure as well.
It was wonderful to see a gentleman inspecting the kitchen on a regular basis during the busy dinner time and replenishing tea towels etc as required.
We will definitely recommend your camp to others.

Returning customers, great service, excellent facilities.

Has a nice natural pool, we appreciate the 'adults only' hours with minimal noise and splashing.

GREAT kitchen, with use of pots and pans, everything is there. Makes staying easy!

Great showers, very clean place. Love it!

We are regulars at Miranda Holiday park and always enjoy our stay. As a family with two children aged 10 and 12 years old we find it a safe environment with plenty of activities to keep everyone happy. We always take our van and use a powered site situated between the pool and the amenities block. During this stay it was peak holiday season and the facilities handled the numbers of guests well. The park is well planned , clean and tidy. We used the covered outdoor dinning area during this stay, which was very pleasant due to the warm weather.
Always find the staff helpful and keen to please.
As regular users of hot pools around New Zealand we find the thermal pool here very good. The design and landscaping create a lovely atmosphere.
The shop is well stocked with basic food needs.
Miranda Holiday park is close to so many attractions; Kaiaua, Thames, Paeroa etc. Boat trips, walks, shopping, markets (Kaiaua and Thames) and safe beaches.

We only stayed here for 2 nights for a 'weekend getaway' with our caravan; being pet friendly, we brought our dog with us however when we got there we discovered our RCA in the caravan was different to the newer ones installed now, the staff were super friendly though and let us into the campground even though we had not booked a 'inside' where pets are not to go site. My husband drove back to the Bombays with our dog to drop her off at a relatives.
Other than that hick-up, we found the campground very clean and tidy, and the pool was beautiful to relax in with the kids!
Will definitely be coming back again for sure!

Stayed for 5 nights in one of the apartments (the most expensive option but well worth it) very spacious accommodation with everything you would need including washer and dryer in the room. Hosts were great to deal with and the hot pool is awesome we would use it 2 - 3 times per day. The whole site is very tidy and well presented. I also highly recommend the on site massage therapist karma water (check them out on Facebook too)
