And do have a meal. The chef is very imaginative - try his hot and cold pea soup, for example. And then walk to the falls, through beautiful gardens. Take swimming attire if it's that sort of day, there's a pool at the falls.

“Beautiful gardens”

Interesting gardens worked into the hillside and forest. We enjoyed our slow stroll. Had tea and banana bread after.

“Amazing place”

Raparua Watergrdens is a 64-acre private estate nestled in the midst of the Coromandel Forest Park. It is worthy to spend there one hour on your way to Hot Water Beach or to Coromandel Town. Watergends offers something for everyone who loves nature: beatiful trees, ferns, seasonal flora, lily ponds, meandering walks over lush green lawns, bridges and streams, garden sculptures and a relaxing bush walk to a cascading waterfall. I talked to the owner. She told me a story of the Raparua Watergardens. Must to see in Coromandel"!

“Escape in Tranquility”
Reviewed 27 February 2014

Off the track a bit but well worth the effort. Coromandel Peninsular is stunning and this is one of the jewels. Peaceful manicured gardens slowly winding their way up to magnificent natural bush land waterfall, the last section on a track meandering through lush native bush. A visit to the cafe on return is a must for superb coffee and excellent menu available for either a delicious lunch or morning/afternoon tea. Everything is impressive and the owners have an excellent eye for detail both in the cafe and in the gardens. Absolute perfection, a must do to chill out for a while.
