“A lovely garden spot”
Reviewed 15 December 2012

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in this clean and quiet motel. It suited us perfectly. The garden which surrounds the motel is beautiful, and there is a babbling brook that runs nearby, but can't be seen from the small private decks. The brook can be heard, though, and the effect is peaceful and serene.

My friend and I stayed two nights here. The Motel is down a small little lane about 10 min walk from Thames CBD. There are five units each with their own separate bedroom. What an amazing discovery this little place was. We asked for twin beds and my friend had a room with two singles and I chose to sleep on the King Single in the lounge. The Bed was a bit frim for me...but no real complaints. There is a full kitchen...with a bonus jar of milo for hot drinks. A very nice touch. The bathroom has a shower and separate toilet. (Its small but works really well and there is heaps of drawers to put everything away if you are staying longer. There was also a lovely dinning table for breakfast/dinner.
Out the back is the cutest little balancy with two chairs and a table that gets the afternoon sun and that over looks a babbling brook...it was so sweet. And you even have your own clothes line. But here is what I really loved.... It was so quiet. No traffic noise at all...or noise from other guests. We left late the first morning and I was surprised to see that many of the other guests had already left but we hadnt heard them. Thats how well insultated it is. All in all a great little Motel that is great for an overnight or longer stay. We used it as a base to explore the cormandel and it was perfect for that.

Room Tip: All the Units looked nice. We had unit one which was at the very begining and it was super quiet.
