Stopped off en route from Auckland to Mount Maunganui and found this café to be an excellent rest and refuel (us) venue. The menu was quite extensive and the food was well prepared and substantial and excellent quality. The service was very good and we were made very welcome.
The Café had that nice country feel about it. Additionally the Café has lots of novelty style (and useful) products for sale

We always stop here on our way South from Auckland and today is no exception as we head to Napier.
Great food, friendly staff; try it and you will not be disappointed!

We've stopped here a few times overs the years we've visited NZ. This year was no exception and the carrot cake, mouth-wateringly, delicious!
The lunch menu is excellent too!
Don't drive past try it!

This is such a find. In the middle of nowhere, you could easily miss it, but I'm glad we didn't. The car park was full to overflowing, so we knew we were wise to stop. The cafe itself has been decorated in an unusual and creative way - lots of things to talk about. But it's the food that won me over...we had a quick lunch, and both went for chicken and apricot with Brie pies. They came out piping hot, with crisp, golden flakey pastry. The middle of the pie was full of chunky chicken, apricots and in a sauce that was just divine. My iced coffee was rich, aromatic and tasted of coffee, not some sugary garbage that some places serve up. I also indulged in a piece of ginger crunch, a kiwi favourite I remembered from my childhood. For quality, service, freshness - 100% .Keep up the great work team! you have got it right.

We have been travelling now for two weeks and made many stops for coffee and a snack. This is the best roadside cafe we have come across. Great staff and a lovely environment for dining inside and out, and yes the coffee and food are great.
