“Like Brown Cooked From Frozen Food, This is the place for you”
Reviewed 10 November 2013

Decided to stop by to have a nice meal for two as have not been here for a while. What a mistake, not much choice, over priced and most of it out of the freezer. Felt sorry for the waitress as we asked her about hte seafood platter, looked hte best of hte options, only a few km's from hte sea so should be fresh we thought. Well the mussels were frozen, hte squid was frozen, the scallops were frozen, the fish was .... no it was actually fresh, the chips, well you can guess they were from a packet too. Ended up having a beer and leaving. Was not going to pay over $25 for the pleasure of someone cooking deep fried food and anameic looking fries. Sorry guys not a pleasure at all. I would be ashamed to call myself a chef if that was what I was offering. Easy, convenient and not requiring much talent!!

“Chocolate Mud/Mousse Cake to die for”
Reviewed 25 May 2013

We have dined here a couple of times in the past but were never overly impressed with the menu or food. It was all nice enough but very ordinary & the decor of the restaurant desperately needs updating. Then we saw advertised "new menu, new chef" in the local paper so off we went with high hopes of something exciting & new. I think the only "new" thing regarding the menu was it was printed on yellow paper instead of the usual white. The food was fine, cooked very nicely but didn't wow us. The best thing here is the chocolate mud/mousse cake which has now, since they have a new chef I'm guessing, been titivated up with mixed berries & a berry coule all of which is just simply yum yum yum!!! I would recommend people after dining elsewhere to stop off here for dessert.

“A Relaxing Place To Dine”
Reviewed 16 February 2013

We went to this restaurant as a second choice because our preferred place to dine was shut that Sunday. I don't know whether reservations are accepted or not, but we were shown to a table promptly, and a drinks menu was offered straight away. The food was a little slow in coming, but in all fairness they were quite busy. The quality of the food made up for the time factor, though, and on a hot, summer night we weren't in any hurry to eat. It was lovely to sit and watch the peaceful scenery of Lake Virginia.
