Went here with friends. The atmosphere was quite nice but thought the food was pretty average compared to other Italian restaurants I've eaten at. That said, the deserts were nice and the food reasonably priced. One of the staff accidentally wiped what our table ordered when we were paying (no big deal) and the hostess had a go at her in front of us which was unprofessional I thought. Probably wouldn't bother going here again.

My family has been coming here 7 years and we love the food, the ambience and the European feel. The hostess is abrupt but thats part of her charm. The pizza, the pasta and the wine is awesome

Had a solid Italian meal here with some friends and no one was disappointed. Very good house wine, pasta and my friend had a steak which he reckoned was very good. Also had live music on a Sat night.

We stopped at this restarant by chance, and although it was fairly busy they had a few empty tables and were seated right away at 7.45. Our orders (one starter, one dish of the day and pasta dish) was taken at 8.00. The drinks and the starter arrived in a normal timeframe but there then followed an unacceptable delay. My wife had not had the starter and so was very hungry. We asked the server 3 times when our food would arrive and the answer always was "It's just coming out." It eventually arrived at 9.00. I told the server that this was an unacceptable delay as we had never been told there would be a long wait. The poor young girl was very apologetic, but it was not her fault. So far so poor. The food was indifferent and I wouldn't normally have written review; bu then the owner showed up!

First she wanted an argument, "We hadn't been waiting an hour, only 55 minutes" presumably she thought that was acceptable. Then her excuse was "They were busy." No hint of an apology. Then she began to parade around the restaurant calling in a loud voice that "Everyone else was having a wonderful time" to try to humiliate me butonly succeeding in making her look ridiculous.

We have of course related this story to everyone we met and I assured by other locals that this is typical behaviour and they feel sorry for her staff who tend not to hang around, or if they survive to the end of the period when social charges need to paid, find themselves out of a job.

I no longer leave bad reviews on Tripadvisor as whatever has left a poor impression might be a one off unlike the review which is permanent. However in this case the owners behaviour, combined with the long delay and the indifferent food, makes this a MUST AVOID.

Warm and welcoming. After being told by neighboring establishments that their kitchens were closed just after 9pm, Amici welcomed our group of four with open arms. Our German host was sensational. She gave us the option of inside or outside. Outside please. Her service and our food made our night in the winterless North. The word at our table was the amazing taste of our delicious meals. The accompanying wines from the wine list were amazing. The mains do cost a little more than most places but it was well worth it. We were totally pleased we adventured into Amici. Thank you for a pleasureable experience. Service and sumptuous food. A winner.
