“Second time was as good as the first”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 February 2012

We stayed here in 2010 and i reviewed the B and B then. The true test though, is when you return somewhere and it was as good as you remembered it to be. Well this certainly was the case at Totaranui. Again, our stay was perfect. From Steves freshly baked breakfast rolls complementing Barbs wonderful breakfast which included eggs, bacon, sausages etc, down to the recommendations of places to visit and beaches to bathe on, our hosts had it covered. The bedroom was as cosy as i remembered too, with the views absolutely breathtaking. A real must for anyone travelling to Whangarei!

Barb and Steve are wonderful hosts. Bed was comfortable and room clean and tastefully decorated. The room had an onsuite (wetroom) Fast and free wireless internet was appreciated. A very good breakfast selection. The small kitchenette was great for heating meals. A wonderful view from the bedroom and deck. Loved seeing the pet cows.

We stayed for two nights; during our trip around North Island, our room was very comfortable with plenty of facilities on hand. Barb & Steve offer very warm hospitality and Steve’s breakfasts were delicious particularly his warm, freshly baked rolls every morning.

My partner and i have stayed here twice and i am pleased to say we will be going in back in December this year with family!!
Superb views, fantastic breakfasts and plenty of local knowledge from the hosts. Plenty to do in the area with a Golf course, restaurants, superb beaches andplenty of Puhutukawa trees (if thats your thing). A thoroughly enjoyable place to stay.
