The ambiance is nice enough. The greating was warm and friendly. Visits to other restraurants in this chain have been reasonably positive, good quality pub food.
I ordered seafood chowder. It was ok, but could have been anything. When the server took away the dishes I reminded her I had ordered a glass of wine. They had forgotten.
The Blue and Gold blue cod would have been more accurately descibed as "batter and chips". I set about cutting the batter off. It really "crunched". One bit flew across the table. I was reminded of my old Dad's saying, "If yoou fell on that you could skin your nees!" Still the chips weredone well and the salad was crisp and fresh. However the over riding taste was of "deep fryer".
Better meals can be had in Greymouth for the same amount of $.
