The ambiance is nice enough. The greating was warm and friendly. Visits to other restraurants in this chain have been reasonably positive, good quality pub food.

I ordered seafood chowder. It was ok, but could have been anything. When the server took away the dishes I reminded her I had ordered a glass of wine. They had forgotten.
The Blue and Gold blue cod would have been more accurately descibed as "batter and chips". I set about cutting the batter off. It really "crunched". One bit flew across the table. I was reminded of my old Dad's saying, "If yoou fell on that you could skin your nees!" Still the chips weredone well and the salad was crisp and fresh. However the over riding taste was of "deep fryer".

Better meals can be had in Greymouth for the same amount of $.

Have been here a lot. Have had a mix of good and bad meals, most times the service has been pretty bad, one time we even had to go to the counter to order our meals and drinks after waiting over 30 min to see a waiter. most the time the food has been good but have had moldy bread served to us. it was replaced but we still had to pay for it.Overall the majority of meals have been good. They have a good menu and are reasonably priced with good size portions.

The menu is varied and easily read. With breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. A bit different in decor etc which is really nice.m Staff always helpful, great place to have a couple of drinks or a bit to eat as well as a full meal.

Most food is lovely, but if you have something wrong and return it and you don't have time for it to be replaced... Expect to pay full price even if you could not eat it!!!

During our 4 week tour of New Zealand, we have concisely enjoyed a lunch or dinner at Speight's Alehouses.

The Greymouth location is quite nice, and worthy of a couple.

We like the ambience, the "pub grub," (not the greasy kid kind.)

Always enjoy supporting a local KIWI Pub!

Service is great, and it is easy to join the Kiwis for conversations.

We were the only North Americans in town.
