“Excellent family-friendly camping”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 December 2013

We had a family camping holiday at this holiday park a year ago, and liked it so much we came back! Our son (3 years) was loved the tramp and the swimming pool. We appreciated the well-thought out and spotless facilities and the soothing view out over the river.

The grounds are very clean, as are all of the amenities. The staff even when arriving late were very helpful and couldn't have been nicer. They have there own pool and large kitchen area. I would stay here again.

Great experience all round. Really friendly and helpful person on reception, Rachael I think, utensils available to borrow for the kitchen, and a spotless cabin, shared  kitchen and bathroom facilities. Quiet location, handy for the whale watching boat, an internet kiosk and early opening coffee caravan across the road! What more could you want?

We arrived and booked a tent pitch and were told by the member of staff that she was putting us in a "lovely spot" which over looked the fields and mountains. It was a tiny plot and the noise throughout the night of constant traffic was unbearable - this has to be one of the worst nights sleep I have had! (I woke up ill!)

I feel it was over priced at $38 for a non powered 10ft by 10ft tent pitch with added noise!

Yes the toilets and showers were nice (6 min electric shower limiter) but the kitchen had no utensils and the wi-fi wasn't great!

It had a pool and hot tubs as well as a trampoline so all in all great for families but not good for people wanting to sleep...we will not be staying or recommending this place to anyone!

For the money we paid we expected a lot more and have been left thoroughly disappointed, we left early and quickly in the morning, moving on to a cheaper, more well equipped and quieter camp site. The staff here seem to be more concerned about money making than the customers!

Do not stay here in a tent if you want a peaceful night. Cant possibly comment on the cabins.

Room Tip: Dont know about rooms but don't stay here in a tent!

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry your experience staying here was not good for you, we pride ourselves on our beautiful gardens, friendly staff and ultra clean amenities. To ensure our communal kitchen stays this way we hire out utensils and crockery, pots and pans etc for a mere $5.This includes everything you need to cook and eat and drink. Our park is a small one, and we always welcome our guests to check the park and plots before deciding on booking as when it is peak time , yes, there are many cars and campervans . If there is trouble with any vehicles in the way ,guests are advised to let the office know and we will immediately come down to sort it out. There are definately people who like to spread out when they are on holiday!! Our park is the only one that is a fair distance away from the main road, so i am curious to know where the quiet one is? Even the ones out of town are right on the highway, nevertheless i am glad you found a quieter spot.We dont often have a lot of traffic at all so maybe it was a particularly busy weekend or week for some reason? I cant respond to the Wifi, it is very rare we have a problem as we also run our computers on the network. If there was we would most certainly have had problems in the office also. Again we do thank you for taking the time to post on Trip Advisor, we are proud winners of the Certificate of Excellence award for 2013, so we would love to remain there for 2014! We love our guests and love our job, of course making money is a priority , but i am sorry you feel that we put that in our way of making our guests happy , because we dont . Take care on your adventures and we wish you well.

Stayed here for work again. Units are very clean and comfy. Very large kitchen and outside dining area with electric BBQs. Spa and swimming pool in a nicely landscaped area of native plants.
An area for a number of campervans/caravans and separate area for tents; all within a short walk of the facilities. Only a short walk into the middle of town.

We camped here for one night and it was lovely! The pool and hot pools are amazing after a long drive! The kitchen is big and spacious with lots of places to sit down. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. The water pressure is insane here..it was nice!

The ground was nice and even for camping and we had a great sleep. The park is just off the highway, but you can't actually hear any road noise at night! It's a short walk to the main drag in town. Highly recommend it, especially if you're on a budget and have a tent or van to sleep in.

Really lovely motor-camp. Facilities were excellent and very clean. Great spa pool! Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The motor-camp was very quiet and set in lovely grounds and close enough to town. Really enjoyed our stay here. Great views
