Out of the 7 motels and hotels we stayed in NZ this was by far the most stylish and trendy room. We stayed in a courtyard room which was supposed to have partial seaview but on hindsight would have booked the cheaper standard room as the view was blocked most of the time either by the guests' cars or we would guess is one of the staffs' cars parked at the same spot by the road for 2 days. The whole place feels new and updated but the plumbing appeared tired. Shower pressure was the weakest we've had in NZ and the temperature could be temperamental. Overall we did enjoy our two nights there but might choose something else if we ever did visit Kaikoura again.
