Very warm welcome on arrival, had a good chat about the UK as the owner had lived there. We were then walked through the hotel and outside to a row of rooms which was disappointing I had assumed we were staying in the hotel itself and it was quite expensive. Very limited space in the bedroom, no room for both our cases to be placed open on the floor, but nicely decorated. Bathroom very large but hand towel had dirty stains on it. Had to find someone later that evening to 'top up' teas/coffees in the room. It wasn't until on returning to our room after our evening meal that the neighbours were in the adjoining room and could hear talking, flushing toilets, cleaning teeth and coughing, not pleasant!!! The next morning they were up early and once again heard everything.

Good location but accommodation is limited in Kaidoura so not a great deal of choice. We didn't eat in the hotel as we prefer to venture out.

Loved this hotel...
Peter and Robyn are accessible, helpful, amenable to whatever you need, terrific hosts.
Peter thought I should have a portable speaker for my IPhone music, so he delivered one to my lovely room! The separate hot tub room in my "suite" was amazing. Totally unexpected!
Everything about the room, property, hosts, and experience was wonderful!! Very very warm, hospitable place to stay in Kaikoura, NZ!!

Very well thought out and appointed rooms right beside the beach within a 10/15 minute walk from the town centre. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Off-street parking was available and the the stay was nice an quiet, will definitely be back!

A beautiful location on the Esplanade away from the bustle of the main town area. Helpful hosts, and it was pleasant sipping a wine in the lounge as the sun goes down.

The main building is the place to be and justifies the label Boutique, unfortunately we were in a "courtyard room." This was small and the bathroom was not luxury accommodation, in particular there was no ventilation on a hot day. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, however there was no room to hang clothes or open suitcase other than on the bed.

The website offered a restaurant but this had closed down just before we arrived. Plenty of choice of eating and good recommendations by Robyn, who called and booked for us.

Room Tip: Go when you can book a Waterfront room.

We only stayed one night but found it very comfortable. We had one of the rooms on the courtyard - small but it was lovely to be able to sit outside. We did a lovely walk round the peninsula starting from the hotel. Veery friendly and helpful owners. We also stayed at their other property in Queenstown (Queenstown Park Boutique - also lovely).
