This restaurant was very handy to our motel although not in the centre of town. Menu offered a very wide range of Indian food. The food was really good and plentiful. Service was excellent. We were surprised it was so quiet especially as it was a public holiday. Took a bit of persuading to get my husband to go to this restaurant as he is not a fan of coriander but he managed to find lots of food choices while avoiding his least favourite herb. Our group has just one suggestion to make. Our waiter, whose English, was good but not perfect, appeared to have been taught to adress men as 'sir' and women as 'dear'. The 2 women in our group found this irritating but did not feel the waiter would understand if we tried to explain our issue. Apart from that point we all enjoyed our meal and would eat there again if back in Kaikoura.

We were staying in the Top 10 park with our camper van and couldn't be bothered to cook, so walked up to Corianders. It was a quiet night and we'd not read any reviews, but thought we'd give it a go, and what a great decision!
The food was outstanding. We had a range of dishes and all of them were delicious: cooked beautifully, and it was pretty good value. I've seen a couple of criticisms of the service, and although our waiter was helpful and friendly, the service wasn't super-quick. For us that was fine as we wanted to relax, but if you are in a rush, you probably want to tell the staff when you arrive.
An excellent restaurant that makes a real effort to cook the meals exactly the way you like them.

We were recommended to try this restaurant by our B&B host and were pleased we followed their advice. Good choice of dishes and the option to make your selection as hot or as mild as you prefer. I like my Indian meals spicy so went for hot and it was just as I wanted. If you are not into spicy food I would stay with mild. Good choice of wines and a pretty decent range of beers including Kingfisher if you like Indian beer with your curry. Although it was quiet when we went in, it filled up pretty quickly so clearly a popular place to eat

You can dine in or order a take-away. Very nicely presented menu and a good choice of dishes. We had three dishes and each was very tasty, very authentic - just delicious! We ordered medium hot which was very spicy, so I would order "mild" next time. We had a beer to go with our meal.
The restaurant was easy to find and had a pleasant atmosphere. We did not enjoy the music,(Bollywood) but that depends on what you like.
