We had lunch here and though it was a little pricey it was delicious! The service was great and very fast which was nice because we were only stopping on our way to Picton. My son't mango lassi was a little runny, but he still enjoyed the taste.

Having eaten at the Coriander restaurant in Hanmer Springs we hoped this sister restaurant would be to the same high standard - it wasn't!

The restaurant interior was a bit drab and looked in need of some tlc, not helped by overly loud music - what is it with New Zealand restaurants feeling they have to assault you with loud crappy music?

The food was a major disappointment - nowhere near as good as we had a few days before in the Hanmer Springs Corianders. The service was, well, OK. Again nowhere near as good as it's sister restaurant in Hanmer Springs.

We came here for a Saturday night while on holiday in kaikoura. We had a really nice (and BIG!) meal, the service was polite and fast enough without being rushed. The restaurant was only about 1/3 full which was surprising but then again it wasn't peak tourist time! The food was great - we had "medium hot" curries (you can choose your preferred spice level) and they were delicious! We also had one of the starter platters and the sides platter, all of which was very good. The menu was very extensive and there would certainly be something there for most tastes. The one and only fault I would say is that it would be better if they turned the tv screen off - they were playing Bollywood music videos on the tv, I don't mind the music but don't like going out to eat somewhere that has a screen going.

We got takeaways due to time constraints on our part. Initially thought they were a bit on the expensive side but the meals were so devine and so BIG that they proved to be well and truly value for money. Will make it a regular stop in Kaikoura.

Worst Indian experience we have experienced in NZ. Overpriced and the empty seats in the restaurant should have warned us all.
