Ok, so you don't actually climb up the tree... there are some sturdy steps! But staying in a treehouse brought out the child in me. There is something so playful about this place.
If you want to WOW yourself or someone else, this is the way to do it! On a clear day the views are incredible - ocean one side, mountains the other. The room has all the home comforts and more you could wish for - a spa bath, wood-burner, king size bed, fresh coffee beans, Sky TV, complimentary drinks and chocolate brownies.
They also have a pool and sauna at the Lodge - the water is freezing cold, but just what you need after sweating it out in the sauna.
I would also recommend having dinner here - it is excellent food, service and an extremely tranquil and romantic atmosphere. Our waiter Paul, was lovely and even printed off some info on the local vineyards after we had mentioned we might take a trip the next day.
It is expensive, but when else will you get to stay in a treehouse with those kind of views?! If you want to indulge and treat yourself / someone else - you will not be disappointed.More
