Wow, the experience of Wings Over Whales is undoubtedly one of the highlights of our lives. The flight we had with our Pilot Josh was awesome. He made it possible for us to see the mighty Sperm Whale by offering us a extra flight as we missed out seeing the whales on our first attempt. Great service and it was so exciting to see the whole whale from above. In my opinion this beats the boat trip hand down. It is also great value. Perfect

On any given day flights are available to go whale watching in Kaikoura...If you should have a spare hour or so then do it...chance of a lifetime to see these magnificent creatures from above, the sea is clear and although its not a guarantee that you will see any whales it's a joy to see the coast and mountains from the air..Josh, our pilot was informative and as excited as us when we managed to see a sperm whale..it's money well spent and you can't really put a price on this type of memory...highly recommend this to all..

We were rebooked from the boat to the plane because of the bad weather. But we could not fly either because the weather got worse. Staff was very friendly, patient and flexible, so we got booked the next day. It was worth waiting! The next day we had blue skies, after 10 minutes, we spotted 1 whale. We made several turns and had a very good view on the whale. When returning, we also saw lots of dolphins. Our son was promoted to co-pilot, what an experience for him! Unforgettable experience, we also learned quite some interesting facts about the whales. Of course much depends on whether you see a whale or not..but if you see one...unforgettable!

We had excellent views of two sperm whales during our flight and were impressed by our pilot's (Jesse) knowledge of their habits and life histories

Set out on a warm, sunny day full of hope that this time will be the time I see a whale. Well, we saw 4, yes 4, with dolphins and seals thrown in for free. A wonderful day I shall never forget.
