We were blown away by this lovely little Bed and Breakfast and in particular with the view from the Whale Room and with the warm welcome by Quentin when we arrived late in the afternoon after a long day of flying from Brisbane then driving up the coast to Kaikoura. He organised for a local restaurant to pick us up in their transport and a dinner booking. We had time to soak in the late afternoon colours of the mountains and ocean, enjoy a glass of wine and a quick change of clothes before dinner. We slept really well that night and we fed extremely well at breakfast the next morning! I can't recommend Nikau Lodge highly enough for both a scenic and peaceful place to stay if you find yourself in Kaikoura.More
