This is a little gem of a restaurant. Only 3 staff- the chef and the waitress who own it, and one helper in the kitchen. Excellent service and very warm friendly welcome. All food cooked to order, good selection and very well presented.
Advisable to book-they take slots as only the chef in the kitchen. Nice wine list-pretty standard prices we found

This is a beautiful restaurant overlooking the water. Relaxed ambiance. Confident staff as they know the food will be good. We had three courses and all were cooked with love and care. We enjoyed the wine both chardonnay and pinot noir. I recommend the venison it was beautiful.

Great food. Good menu and wine list though given size of restaurant limited. Excellent service and warm welcome.

We were so impressed with the breads & spreads we had to start that we couldn't wait to continue the meal. It was a fine dining setting, perfect for a couple, & the waitress was very friendly.

The restaurant was full for the night, turning people away even though there were empty tables, however we assume this was to ensure patrons didn't have a long wait as there was just the chef & one other staff member in the tiny kitchen.

So getting on to the main course, the pork back strap was nice, lovely & tender, however in some ways just like a glorified pork medallion we could have at home. The beef was severely overcooked (well when rare was requested) & sent back. The replacement was better though probably medium rare rather than rare. Apparently there had been a change of supplier & a less marbled meat (however we do note previous feedback saying that the beef was overcooked). The duck fat roasted potatoes were just on the overcooked side which was a bit disappointing as the flavour was great.

We shared the salted caramel chocolate tart for dessert. It was very nice, quite rich but the icecream & berries cut through it & it wasn't bitter as some previous reviews had found.

Overall a nice dining experience, just a shame the main didn't live up to expectations.

We went there at the recommendation of our B & B hosts. The location is great and the ambience is good but from the moment I saw the lit candle on the table I knew it was going to be pricey.
The food was good but nothing to write home about. The service was adequate. We didn't order any wine and I drank the wonderful Speight Ale ( gold medal) for which of course no credit goes to the restaurant.
