“One of the Best Big4 ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2013

Husband and I (early 60s) loved our overnight stay so much heading up to Airlie Beach, we returned on our home trip. Great 2br cabin, very modern, large shower, comfy bed, quiet air con, attractive and well kept park, relaxing and quiet even though quite full for off peak. School holidays recently finished but plenty of families with well behaved children enjoying the parks's great facilities. Excellent friendly staff. Will definitely come back here and stay longer. Had a great meal at local pub with a huge choice of food. Also had a lovely morning tea at Pavilions cafe, extra good food and lovely staff trainee served us. Close walk to beach, seaside shops, restaurants and pub. Town centre not far away and is huge. All up, we loved our 2 visits and cannot wait to come back. Personally, would probably fly up next time to avoid long road trip but if you stop for regular breaks, it is not a problem.

Room Tip: We prefer 2br cabins for extra room. Very reasonable off peak, especially with Big4 member discount...

Dropped in to Fraser Lodge Holiday Park for 3 nights at the end of a 4 week adventure to Darwin. 9 of us in total across 2 caravans and a motor home. The best thing for us after such a long trip was the ensuite powered sites. Two of the ensuites were very clean the third had quite a mould issue which was a little off-putting.
The layout of the park is great for the kids because everything is quite close, however that also means your neighbours are quite close also, so not particularly spacious when the place is busy.
Roads are quite thin for larger rigs and there is kids having fun everywhere, so very slow progress through the park.
Staff were very friendly and professional on check-in. Pool was still a bit cool for us oldies (heat wave in Sept) but nothing stops the kids.
Well located to access Hervey Bays attractions.

Room Tip: If you are interested in the pedal carts you will need to book a day in advance (during busy times i...

Very clean, helpful polite staff, family friendly, heaps to do, caters for wide range of people. 10/10. We stayed in a caravan on a powered site but they also had ensuite powered sites as well as villas. Had activities running for the kids and go karting hire, wide range of site locations, we were next to the creek which as great, took the kids down to the in house lagoon to feed the ducks before we left and the ducks were eating out of their hands, well looked after holiday park, definitely deserves a stay :)

6 kids and 2 adults camping in an ensuite site. Heaps of room. Well set out. Very clean park. Highly recommend. We will be back in Christmas holidays and everyone can't wait. Kids can't stop talking about the great time they had. Close to everything. Staff friendly.

I really liked this site. The staff were really friendly on check in and gave us lots of info on whale watching tours ect

We were sited on 288 right at the back of the park which couldn't have been more perfect. A large corner slabbed powered site with enough room for the camper trailer a car and still an outside area to sit in the sun. Sectioned off with lovely palms for a bit of shade. There are 2 amenities blocks. One right next to us by the larger of the 2 pools. Both pools were lovely and the bonus of the top pool is it also has a jumpy pillow which my son spent most of his time on making friends.
The shower/toilet block was always clean and had about 6or8 toilets and showers in each no waiting. A well equip laundry too
The parks flat with a nice lagoon in the middle, excellent for the kids to ride round. They also have a few go carts to hire $10 an hour. It's a very safe park with the main gate locking at 8pm
The Only negative I could find if any was the kids activities were mostly chargeable apart from a free afternoon movie. That's it loved everything else.
POSITION the park is in Torquey which is the best area from what we saw. ok so I did expect a bit more from this area. Not much to choose from in the way of nice little restaurants/cafes. We ate at Peppers (not peppers resort unfortunately) but the tavern it was ok pub food. It was packed as I said not much other choose. The food was not bad and did the trick after a long drive.
We had a lovely bike ride up to Pialba
Which was a lovely ride and we spent most of the day at the WetSide which is a great FREE little water park.
Loved this park and will probably stay again if up this way.

Just got back from spending 5 days there, great park for families. Lots of stuff for the kids to do. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and gave us the information we required on local activities. Park is in a great location, we will be definitely making another booking here. Our only negative was getting woken up by kids playing on the kids park at 5:30am on one occasion, it did only happen once.

You cannot go wrong with this park...perfect in every way. We stayed 4 nights at the "Couples Retreat", a little cabin right next to the Duck Pond. It was lovely waking each morning to the little ducks and birds that lines the shore, the room was super comfy, quite sound proof, heaps of room, a well appointed kitchen...separate toilet and bathroom...shower pressure perfect...flat screen TV king size bed...cosy balcony, What's not to love. Highly recommend as very good value for money. Thank you to Kelli at the desk who was amazingly helpful..
